No, it hasn't even been 2 months since he won the belt. This is a ridiculous question. If you stripped every champion of their belt that didn't defend within 2 months then almost anyone who's ever won a belt would get stripped of it.

And hasn't defended his belt against anyone in his division yet either. It's insane to suggest stripping someone of a title they won 47 days ago. If that logic applied to all UFC champions then just about all of them would get stripped of their belts.

Yeah people are totally misinterpreting DDP's point of view, he's basically said he'd wait for UFC Africa ie if the UFC came to him today and said we'll have an event in Africa in December he'd wait until that happens, which makes sense.

But if there is no Africa event coming soon he will fight somewhere else this year no problem. People have really misinterpreted his position like he was going to hold out & not fight again at all in 2024 if UFC doesn't go to Africa lol.

People misinterpreting dricus is a common trend lol. Dricus does walk a fine line sometimes, but his point is usually clear for those willing to think about what he's saying.
