Reasons why DDP a Hard pill to swallow for some

Izzy would have little for prime Wanderlei especially in the pride era given how much the sport has evolved since then...
Lets look at IZZY's best wins... 2x Knuckles and x1 Romero... what other high profile names at their prime has he fought that were forces to be reckoned with? Marvin and Paulo? Come on dude.. Cannonier is a good fighter but his only notable wins are washed Anderson, coin toss split over Strickland and Hermansson who's 50/50 in his last 6...
Prime Wanderlei has 2x Rampage, 2x Yoshida, 2x Sakuraba, Henderson, and Tamura, while there are a couple 'Who's That' the others are all note worthy... while his past prime UFC career is lack luster in the win column he did manage 6 fight of the nights and two knock out of the nights and a fight of the year... hard to scoff at those...While Israel certainly has his accolades too, they are to an extent racked up against a relatively lower tier of opponent. The wins over Yoel and Robert are very solid but the others are kinda meh... And please see post Matt Serra GSP for lay & pray wins.
Wanderlei wasn't in the same weight class as Izzy so I don't know why you keep comparing them as middleweight. Prides middleweight division was 200 lbs, they just called it middleweight but you're comparing different weight classes. In no way has Silva done as much as Izzy at 185, it's not even close

Once had a boss tell us on a Friday afternoon after a particularly busy work week, “Have a good weekend and find time to decompose.”

I guess they wanted you to be Wormfood

pill

The expression is "hard pill to swallow"
Nah, cuz like, it's really hard to swallow a duck bill, ya know? That's why peking duck always has it removed, then the chef serves it to you and tells you "Bone appetite!"

It's a hard bill for me to swallow because I have never tried to swallow a bill before. I have swallowed many pills before but a bill is a fucking challenge. Am I supposed to fold the bill a certain way in order to do so or simply go for it whole as it is?

-Being chaotically smart & dirty in the octagon
-beating 3 fans favourite's in a row not just fans favourites but also great fighters
Whittiker: for me one of most complete fighter in the history and will make Khmazat look bad in October, I still think he has one of the best 3 winng streak when he beat Jacre & Romero losing only to Adesanya so when faced DDP you can tell he felt something different the way DDP tossed him in the first round then tko him on seconed round.

Strickland: the gas tank king he will walk you back until he breaks you mentally & the narrative before that fight that if goes to distance it's a gurnntee(I hate spilling) win for Strickland then boom DDP made it ugly not as usual and mange to win the descion despite "having a bad gas tank"

Adesanya: the second best middleweight in the history or even the goat if you count the steroid use. The Adesanya that fought today is one of his best version in his UFC career he was clean and sharp but was overwhelmed by the pressure but I already see the argument that DDP based out un the fight which is normal if you get 26 hard and precise body shots yet he was winng 2-1 before the submission..

DDP still getting better each fight so who knows how long his reign will last
Neither Strickland nor Izzy are "fan favorites", both have plenty of haters and righfully so..

I don't remember this much criticism over Tony Ferguson's "unorthodox" fighting style, not sure why everyone is fixating on DDP. He beat Strickland in a stand-up affair, he knocked out Robert Whittaker, and he held his own against Izzy in the standup. It's high time to concede he's a good striker. It doesn't look particularly pretty but his timing is on point and vastly underrated.
