Dricus fought in 3 different organizations. Over 30% of his wins are via submission. He has fought many wrestlers in the past. Bahati was a very accomplished wrestler/grappler (the same guy who slapped Dricus in the face off). He said he was going to submit Dricus, but Dricus submitted him in like 2 minutes. Brunson is also a very accomplished wrestler who took gold medalist Romero down in their fight. Dricus submitted him in later rounds. Dricus main challenge in that fight was his cardio issue due to his nose only providing 13% Oxygen, but he was able to survive the early storm and then submitted Brunson.
Even with Whittaker, Whittaker could not control Dricus on the ground. Dricus just popped back up in 10 seconds. However, when Dricus hip tossed Whittaker to the ground, Dricus controlled him for the rest of the round. Big difference.
Darren Till might not be a wrestler, but remember before the Dricus fight, he was all over the place bragging how he had been training with Khamzat for 2 years before the fight, but Dricus submitted him.
Then there is the fact that Dricus participates in BJJ tournaments and submits BJJ blackbelts. Granted, his size and strength are a big factor there.
Just because Dricus' fight predominantly happened on the feet, does not mean he is not an extremely high level grappler/wrestler. Add the size and strength to the fact that he has been grappling/wrestling since age 4, he won't be getting ragdolled by Khamzat. it is actually going to be a tough fight in anyone except diehard Khamzat fan's book who think Khamzat ragdolls Dricus and submits him in round 1. The recency bias from Whittaker fight, seems to have clouded people's minds. Anyone looking objectively, can see that.
