Sherbros will there be any arguments left that Khamzat Chimaev is one of the best talents to ever step inside the octagon if he finishes DDP in 1st rd

Those who don't understand that his grappling TALENT is generational simply don't understand the sport at all. Key word: talent.

But from a sheer talent standpoint it's just stupid to say he isn't special.

When it comes to GOAT status he is several fights away ofcourse but just based on how he gets opponents out of there he will be able to get there with only like 3 title defenses

Nah, Silva had way too many at MW for us to be saying that.

what do people get out of making these absolutely dumb as fuck threads?
The OP has been the biggest khamzat dickrider ever since he made his account. His first thread might've been a khamzat dickride thread.

To the op's point, he would need a few dominant title defenses and then it would be undeniable. His inactivity hurts his case though.

Khazmats going to have his big first round energy dump then DDP's going to break this dude in half

He'd need a couple title defenses to be in discussion for all time great status.

If Khamzat squeezes the life out of DDP within a few minutes the hype will be unrelenting. GOAT talks will be had. Khamzat would have strangled Anderson Silva, they'll say.
Once ever in sports history, dare I say

<30>

Silva is no more even in the goat convo because he had holes in his game

What? Unless you're disqualifying anyone who's failed a PED test (which if you are, fair) then Silva is absolutely in the discussion.

He hasn't fought often, went to a controversial split decision with Burns including getting knocked on his ass.... a loosing streak Usman fought him at 185lbs with no camp, and went to a competitive decision. Outside of getting back packed, he didn't get hurt at all.

I think Khamzat is still pretty far away from cementing himself as one of the best. He's nowhere near as consistent and accomplished as DDP when we're looking at body of work, even if he beats him. DDP battered and SMASHD Whittaker which is Khamzat's best win, including all of his other former champion wins.

He's nowhere near Illia or Islam either.

you're ranking DDP as more accomplished even if he loses to Chimaev? lol that is insane.

Yes: he will have won one single championship fight.

If he finishes DDP in the 1st round it was because DDP finally got exposed and/or DDP never really fought anyone good. So we still wouldn't know if Khamzat is any good and it's still very likely he's a can.

The bait is strong on this post.

"DDP only beat declining old guys!"

The problem with Khamzat is he fights rarely and is already 31. So much time wasted, he could have been something outstanding. Imagine if the guy fought three times a year.

If he captures the belt he can fight 3 times a year

He's one of those guys, outstanding but could fall to pieces.
