Alex Pereira has forfeited the fight against Khamzat Chimaev respectfully

what is the point of fighting Khamzat? if he knocked Khamzat out, it means nothing to his legacy because Khamzat has barely done anything in MMA. Alex already had the MW title and that is literally the only thing Khamzat has that is of value. even his status as a star has gone to the shitter because he's too busy getting his ass whipped by Kadyrov and his entire family instead of actually fighting in the UFC.

unless Khamzat goes on a huge win streak with the belt, i feel like he's pretty much thrown away a much better career had he stayed active after the Burns fight. he was a hot prospect then and everyone was interested, he had the chance to be a star. now, people don't even give a shit about him and his abrasiveness towards the Western audience was another big mistake.

There are threads that are worthless to the point of hilarity, and then there are others that are just kind of pathetic.

Fedor is retired.
fedors best win is cro cop and nog
plus japanese pro wrestlers

cro cop and nog wont even be top ten in stipes era

especially in an era with no juice allowed

I have seen some hot takes recently mentioning Pereira´s size which is ridiculous because imho Pereira himself doesn´t see a way to victory against Chimaev.

He said I am 38 and at the end of my career and want one fight against a guy my age and retire basically. He doesn´t want to fight Chimaev at this point in his career and plus Pereira realizes that Chimaev is a bad match-up like 99% of all MMA fans know this as well.

Pereira is a great fighter and one of the best but he would have no earthly chance against Khamzat Chimaev Stylistically.

People talking about size are deluded.. I remember listenting to an interview recently done by Chris Curtis who has trained with Chimaev and he said something interesting he said he is much stronger then he looks as if he was made in a russian lab or something because when you feel his arm strength he is much stronger then his size or appearance to ratio strength.

Alex Pereira will not be able to stop one single takedown from a marauding Khamzat Chimaev..

What makes him so confident imo is his high level technical ability I think technically when it comes to combining all the aspects of MMA he is ahead of the entire roster especially in the grappling department hence he can fancy his chances against anyone and everyone.

Against Pereira imho he would be like 7 to 1 favourite or something.

Khamzat Chimaev is the best fighter in the world right now and he knows it and he will back himself against anyone even at Heavyweight (Indeed a rare and special fighter who is a generational talent)

No Human alive beats this man Insha-allah he has taken this craft to the next level

Khamzat benefits from biased wrestler friendly ufc rules. He is allowed and even encouraged to stalemate a fight to ride out a win but that isn't what true war gods do. Poatan > spamzat

Nobody?

Off the top of my head
Aspinall
Almeida
Jan
Reyes
JBJ

If we go to past eras many guys beat him

How many fights has Khamzat defended the title? And Alex is in the mix lol. Alex almost died making 185 lol. It's so brutal these guys win a title and now are talking about another division. Khamzat needs to defend the title first

Today Reyes? Or the night he fought Jon? Or any Reyes?
Reyes has lost by getting KOed by much bigger guys than Borz, not guys Burns style.

Reyes has equal or better wrestling than anyone at MW (sans borz)... though thats not saying much but he is also much bigger than all of them too

Khamzat only has like 3 fights at MW. Let him at least rack up a couple of defenses before he gets a title shot at LHW, or let him beat a LHW contender to prove he belongs. Until then there's nothing in it for Pereire. If he loses, it's embarrassing because he's bigger. If he wins, people will say he beat a small guy.

Sadly if Pereira took the Khamzat fight he'd lose all claim to HW fights or big money fights. It's also a fight that would sell, but nothing like Alex/Aspinall or Alex/Jones. So I think he'd lose it, but he'd really lose potential money making fights, Khamzat is popular but I highly doubt he'd sell as much as the others. Pereira is looking to cash out and leave soon, not going to try and fight the best wrestler in the UFC as an older kickboxer.

So no heavy weights can beat Khamzat? Even when burns and Kamara gave him really competive fights..

We all have heard the "khamzat giving heavyweights problems in sparring" take, but I guess your the only dummy to believe it 😏

As has been said in other threads, Rat Lip should take care of his own division first. Imavov is waiting to fight him. Khamzat should schedule a title defense in February and focus on that.

Really TS? I see Khamzat getting Chinned by Alex and waking up staring at a few doctors who aren’t speaking in his native tongue.
