I legit forgot that Khamzat is champ now. I remember some people saying he was going to be an instant superstar when he won the belt. I don’t think that has panned out at all. He doesn’t give fans anything to work with. Not much personality outside of “I smash everybody bratha” and not very visible when he’s not fighting. Combine that with a boring belt-winning performance and there’s just not much to say with him.

It changed literally nothing, as many of us predicted. He still seems intent on fighting only once a year despite being apparently injury free. He last fought in August, and there has been no discussion about when he will make his first defense. Worse yet, he is already calling out a guy in a higher weight class.
