Thus, divergence in prices and quality in legal representation. Who are the lawyers in this case representing each party?

If all attorneys were created equal, or costed the same, so that every party had access to the same quality of representation, or if divergence in cost did not factor in determining outcome, and if all jury members were capable of seeing past biases and rhetorical technique and only rule on the basis of the better reason, one could reliably trust that ruling corresponds to justice. The fallibility of jury-based voting is the same as democratic electoral outcomes. It would be nice if choices were always based on the better reasons. They are not.
