He plays himself, he's not an actor.......
You're totally right about Brandon Lee. I think it was written with him in mind. He was developing well as an actor.
Keanu was Keanu. He may very well be the most bland A list actor ever.
That's called method acting. He lived in the dystopian future and got uploaded into the Matrix for our entertainment, and still you complain. He plays himself, he's not an actor.......
Christopher Lambert is worse. Although it only lasted for two moviesHe is one of the worst actors I've ever seen achieve massive stardom. How he because so successful is one of the great Hollywood mysteries on par with Natalie Wood's death.
And I really hate saying that because he might be the most decent man in the history of show business.

Because he was good lookingHe is one of the worst actors I've ever seen achieve massive stardom. How he because so successful is one of the great Hollywood mysteries on par with Natalie Wood's death.
Brandon doesn't fit into a clueless office worker like Keanu did. Keanu Reeves is a pretty lame actor but his lameness suits Neo. It's a transition that actually works.
I disagree, in Rapid Fire before he had to go "kill em all" he portrayed a naive college art student pretty well. Kind of a nerd in Showdown in Little Tokyo too.
He totally would've been a good IT guy...
...and it wouldn't have made a huge difference I don't think.
100x better casting than the rumored Will Smith
We tend to overlook his performance in the film I believe.
It's just such a great film I think that's why.
But what do you think of his performance?
I thought it is about a 7.
Brandon Lee if he lived would have I believe fit the role better.
It is what it is.
So be it.
