I don't know the real reason why he retired but he gave a speech yesterday talking about "being in war" during his 6 month vacation in Italy. We'll find out soon enough whether he reenlisted for only 4 years in 2001 like he claims or whether he reenlisted for 6 years. It didn't take long for GOV to get Walz's NGB22 so he should have his redacted OMPF and 214 sooner than later.
