Jon Jones will choke out Aspinall almost as easy as he did Gane

People dismissing the OP but if it actually happens the excuse train will roll in

"Aspinall just got exposed, he's doesn't have proper x/y/z"

"Who did he even beat?? Pavlovich who Volkov styled on??"

"Aspinall still too green in his career!"
and then "everybody knew Jones was going to crush Tom, Tom is a total can"

and then find some new hero to root for over the GOAT

I actually agree. Everyone is looking past the fact that Jon can probably take Aspinall down.

Gane made Ngannou look like he trained in Dagestan for 2-3 years. And Stipe was just old.

Jones fears Tom and everyone knows it. Tom by whatever he wants.

He took down Miocic easily with a trip, Gane is the same size as Aspinall and got manhandled.
Yeah if only Jon believed u as well he would have fought him already instead of ducking. Just like how he ducked Ngannou

Why did he called out Gane and fought him so fast? We all saw the fight and know why

He lost to Reyes and Gus, what makes u think he will cruise through Aspinall?

Comparing a guy who has been grappling his entire life to someone who barely trains grappling at all is next level smooth brain shit.

One has only been subbed in his entire career by the all time GOAT of MMA....the other has been subbed by....Stuart Austin.

Aspinall's wrestling looks good against weak competition and 45 year old Arlovski but it wouldn't work on a prime high level athlete like Gane. Not to say it that Gane is a great wrestler but good enough to stifle the mediocre grappling of Aspinall. On the feet Gane puts on a clinic. There's a reason Aspinall wants to go straight to Jones without beating the clear as day other best HW now that Ngannou is gone.

It's HW. Whoever goes first will probably get the sub.

aspinall been training bjj since he was a kid and tapped out volkov who is the same guy that outgrappled gane, aspinall will put up more of a fight than gane, maybe he loses but it won't be like that
Training wrestling or BJJ as a kid in England is the equivalent to saying “I played soccer since I was a kid” in the states. Nobody takes Aspinals McBlackbelt seriously

Comparing who they've both been submitted by isn't really any good proof of comparable grappling skills

You know Gane isn't a good wrestler, and you're acting like if his TDD holds up, that makes his grappling skill comparable, which is again wrong.

There IS a reason Aspinall never fought Gane. Know what that reason is? Gane. He's avoided it on multiple occasions when Aspinall was specifically gunning for him

Hyped can? He lost to Ngannou and Jon fucking Jones. The amount of retard on this forum.

Hyped can is way over the top but TBF he also should absolutely have a loss to Volkov now on his record too. That was a ridiculous robbery of a decision in his last fight.
Gane is a solid HW but he's levels below Aspinall.

Bahaha dude it's Gane that has avoided Aspinall, not the other way around. I just saw Gane outgrappled by Volkov. Did you forget that fight happened or something? How did Aspinall vs Volkov go on the ground again?

Come on dude he was clear as day injured, you really think both fighters went to different universes from their first fight when both were already veterans?

Ahh so any fight where a guy wasn't 100% we just dismiss?

Gane won a 5 round decision the first fight and landed a whopping 20 more sig strikes than Volkov (4 per round). Aspinall took Volkov down easily and finished him quickly from there.

If you actually think the grappling capabilities of Aspinall and Gane are comparable...I can't help you. There's numerous reasons Gane hasn't wanted the fight, and the grappling difference is one of them.

I didn't say they were equal, just that Gane could handle Tom's....not suggesting Gane is going to take down Aspinall at will.....

Gane will get taken down sure, but it will not look like Jones vs Gane....Gane will survive down there fine and live to fight on the feet.

And Gane coasted to an easy victory the first fight against Volkov. No you can't just use the injury excuse every time but you'd be lying if you said that looked like the normal Gane in there...he was flat footed and stationary for the first time in his career. He looked remarkably different than usual, and we literally have a fairly recent fight against the same opponent to compared to...I would say he deserves the benefit of the doubt.

I don't know if Tom puts Gane away as quickly as Jones did on the mat, but all I'll say is that Gane would be in a place he very much would dislike if Aspinall takes him down. And standing, Aspinall is better too. Faster, more power, more accurate in the pocket with fight changing shots. Gane is a slick striker for a HW yes, but hes still not at Aspinall's level.

Taking him down is one thing. Choking him out is something completely different.
