Prediction: Jones exposes Aspinall into a new Weidman

how?

Fighters like Rampage had twice as many knockouts as Tom . DC never lost a single round at HW. Hell OSP and Glover have twice the KO and submissions of Tom

What makes him more "dangerous" than Rashad, Lyoto, Shogun, Rampage, Gus, DC; at the time Jones fought them?
Because none of those guys did what he did in their own divisions, let alone doing it at HW. He’s also 6 foot 5 and 255 pounds, in shape and fast. If any of those guys could have went to HW, they would have. DC is the only exception. Tom is a much more dominant HW than DC though and Jon faced him at LHW.

What’s Tom, a dominant champion’s average fight time? 2 minutes? Lol. He smashed everybody at HW, generally in about a minute and all by finish. That’s not comparable to LHW’s towards the end of their careers. Jon has never faced anyone like Tom and if he does, he’ll be almost 40 to boot.

DC never lost a single round at HW, a round. Walked through the Strikeforce HW grand prix.

Rashad had 1 career loss and walked through the HW TUF competition, knocking out 6'7" 265 contender
Lyoto had 1 career loss

Reyes and Gus were undefeated.

Tom has losses to people who dont have wiki pages

At the same weight?

If guys like Rashad or DC fought Tom at HW would it be competitive?

Rashad probably.

DC would smash him
DC would be really competitive, he'd have an obvious grappling edge, but be at a huge size, power and speed disadvantage.
Rashad is Kamaru Usman sized. He'd get absolutely mauled.

He has a loss very early in his career to an unknown, as did Volkanovski, Anderson Silva, Islam Makkachev, GSP had a loss to Serra etc.
Those fights hold no relevance years down the line.

Tom is peaking, and Jon doesn't have the luxury of waiting for him to age out of his prime. His strategy of "turn my back and run to disengage" will not work against a larger, faster man. It is an absolutely terrible matchup for Jon at his best, let alone Jon at what he is now. It took him almost 4 rounds to put away a retired Stipe.

Looking at their recent history, the most likely scenario if the fight ever gets signed will be Tom finishing Jon in the first, which Jon fans would claim was a fluke anyway.
Jon’s legkicks(especially oblique kicks) and his cardio will play a factor. Unfortunately we’ve yet to see someone test Tom’s cardio. All his fights ended in r1, except vs Alrovski, which ended in r2.
What will suck about this whole thing is that when Jon beats Tom, fans will say Tom wasn’t that good to begin with.

Rashad was knocking out bigger dummies early in his career

And DC was dropping them on their heads without EVER losing a round, yet alone to nobodies.

But Rashad, Lyoto, Gus, Reyes, Rampage and DC had not lost to nobodies. Some of them, never lost.

So are Gus and Rashad better than Volk and Anderson Silva? Some guys take a bit of time to become the finished article.
Rashad has never beat a top 15 heavyweight. Size is completely irrelevant, they were not top guys. You'd have a more legitimate claim to call Pudzianowski a top heavyweight than Rashad based on wins in the division.

Not better than Silva.

But at their peeks when they fought Jones, they were better (more skilled) than Tom.

Rashad an undefeated champion and Gus, undefeated.

Yeah it will. Jon will do what he always does

I read this right? You actually think Rashad, who went to MW could hang with Tom?

Jones fans are so delusional. Insanity. If any of those guys could compete at HW, especially against a dominant HW champ trust me they would have.

tonight’s homework - go watch all of Tom’s fights. Thinking Jon could win isn’t insane at all but dismissing Tom to the point of thinking rashad fucking Evans coukd hang with him? Lmao

Rashad was an undeated LHW champ and was technically superior to any HW.

He walked through the HW TUF. He was unquestionably a beast in his prime

Why would anyone chose to fight at HW, when LHW particularly at the time was the flagship division.

Tom has lost to absolutely nobodies, people without WIkis

This speculation is irrelevant , the truth is Jon has faced a significant number of fighters superior to Tom.

One can only make the proposition, weighing less, but Jones weighs more now.

Lets hope tom is indeed true to the newfound hype and not this weeks Jones killer, like Gane. Who was shat on immediately after loss.

Jones will chop down Aspinall with kicks, clinch and wrestling. Aspinall is only used to fighting sluggers.

The Jones haters will say he beat a massively overhyped brit, and the fans of Tom Aspinall will abandon him. Aspinall will turn into a new Weidman.

Another prediction: Jones vs Ngannou never happens. Jones can claim to be the goat and sail off into the sunset
But, But, But Weidman was MW champ with 4 title defenses IIRC...prolly right that Jones/Ngannou never happens though. Dana botched that.

All of you Jones fans should get together and petition your hero to stop running and hiding and fight Tom already then. All these stupid threads about how Jones would beat him easily and it's pointless etc.

Well tell your man that because he's clearly terrified LMAO 🤣

Tom has proven a hell of a lot more than any other HW. He’s already cleaned out the division. Nobody with a brain thought Gane had a shot against Jones and you can find me saying that during the buildup.

Tom is not hype. Tom has proven, multiple times that he is the top heavyweight. I’m not sure why you’re so oblivious to real results that happened and you can watch.

And lmao at some random loss early in his career.. almost every great fighter has a few of them. You’re an idiot if you overlook his entire UFC run because he lost early in n his career. Tom could beat every HW in one night and Jon nuthuggers woukd still spew this garbage. Tom dispatched the top 5 in the same time it took Jon to beat the old washed ghost of Stipe.
