I dont think you can discredit Tom, especially at this point in Jon’s career and considering it’s up a division. The talking point that Tom is a nobody is ridiculous - he cleared out the HW division in a matter of a few minutes.

Jon is almost 40, up a weight class and facing a natural HW with every possible physical advantage other than arm length. It’s one of the most intriguing fights (to me) of all time. Can the smartest fighter ever go up a weight class and actually have real success or is he just the guy who cherry-picked two easy HW fights and dipped. I’m not counting Jon out at all BTW but Jon fans dismissing Tom is ridiculous.

He's never shown any visible signs of fatigue and yet you think he lacks cardio? Interesting.

And it's hard to find fault in a guy who has finished his competition in an average fight time of 2 minutes and 2 seconds, the shortest in UFC history.

If it'll be so easy for Jones to beat Aspinall (as you think), Jones should have no problem accepting this fight. Let's see.

I have no idea who said what about Gane but his combination of strength and speed and power is nowhere near Tom's and Gane has an obvious weakness that Jon took advantage of. Aspinall has shown no such weakness in the UFC.

Gane lacks power and the ability to stop the takedown and is a sitting duck on the ground. The perfect matchup for Jones.

I would never discredit Aspinall. I stand by every comment I've ever made about him.

If Jones beats Aspinall, I'll be one of the first to congratulate him and proclaim him undisputed MMA GOAT.
