Stipe made DC cross eyed for a month. Knuckle deep in his eye 3rd fight. They might have meant veteran eyepokers, like Jon & teh Chris

It was sensible to me when dude posted the thought, as maybe NYSAC requires the heavier gloves, could have been written in their local rule set. After Jones opening his mouth, though, I lean more towards he whined about the new gloves and the UFC made the change themselves. Idk what dirt Jones has on them, for them to perpetually suck him off, but he uses whatever leverage he can to get what he wants. And everyone wonders why he acts like a brat.Only a little bit lol
I doubt to the commision is behind it though. But maybe. I mean other orgs have to use their own gloves, so they have to at least be somewhat flexible regarding that stuff.
Lol you are right. Didn't notice yet. It still has my poll, but they took my title.
You are clutching at straws and you know it lol. It's been 10 years. Stipe statistically is more likely to land an eye poke
well if it's ur title then I was indeed addressing your thread
"Jon Jones behind glove change"
that makes it sound like there's a proven fact that Jon Jones was the one who made the UFC change to the old gloves
which may be true, but none of the links in the OP confirm any of that
Technically you’re right, it was just a safe assumption. Seems odd he complains and Campbell calls out of the blue and changes them and none of it is related. But he technically did not say he asked and it was granted. So changed tag to “rumored.”well if it's ur title then I was indeed addressing your thread

It’s a small leap that the headliner says he doesn’t like gloves and promotion suddenly decides to change gloves completely unprompted would be related. But alas, it is not confirmed he asked for a change, you are correct. Like I said changed to “rumor” since it’s a pretty safe inference but not confirmed.I'm not just technically right, I am right. There's no evidence in the OP supporting the claim that he is the reason, which is what I was objecting to. If evidence of Jones being the one asking the UFC for this emerges, then that changes everything.
I'm not certain, but I'd doubt it.Maybe. So I assume there are no bare knuckle fights or maybe even powerslap in NYC?
Yeah, at the end of the day
‘These new ones are no good for eyepokin’
His retaliation eye poke was the talk out the town.. regardless of whether you loveStipe is most definitely not an "infamous" eyepoker. He actually lost two fights due to being eyepoked. One was Struve, the other is that coward DC who knew he poked Stipes eye several times, and each time he ran in for the finish.
