This fight had a vibe. Like Pettis vs Bendo 2. Where it was just a forgone conclusion. Pretty much as soon as Islam illustrated a reality where JDM dethrones Belal
Other aspects: Long layoff/wait for JDM, dubious origins (Contender series), dubious last opponent for title shot (Gilbert Burns whos nearly retired, was losing fight), and a limited game (Basically a boxer who occasionally throws knees)
But it occurs to me that JDM might be insane. His insult to Ian Garry was nearly uncalled for and didn't have a comedic tone. When DC interviewed him I think he was trying to draw some emotions or character but JDM was still stoic and dry. "YEP Australian got another one". He has bled his character out of sheer automated routine and hard work
