Bringing up their win streaks instead of Islam’s resume is the definition of using quirky facts to make things seem more interesting.

They’re certainly 3 good/great wins, but that’s about as far as they go.

Is the resume of an opponent going into a fight not a determining factor of how good a win is?

Beating a fighters coming off long winning streaks is generally more impressive than beating fighters going in with shaky recent history, no?

It's not saying he absorbs their records or some shit, but it proves he's fighting good, relevant competition.

Nobody sits around saying Jon ending Glover or GSP ending Shields win streaks deserve brownie points as uber super amazing feats like that Islam stans are trying to do here. They're just good wins.

The difference of course is people forget about Jon and GSP's accomplishments because there's so many to choose from that they don't stand out so much whereas Islam doesn't so you need to inflate what he does have.

It would’ve been risky. Jack as much as he got dominated, defended the subs really good and would’ve likely gotten up had Islam gone for proper gnp.

Maybe he was conserving energy, this is the first time we saw him fighting at WW. Maybe the muscles he's carrying would tire him out. But he did try and few subs and to Jack's credit, he defended all of them.
