i think we are seeing an administration so thoroughly corrupt that opposing corrupting forces are butting heads over who can be more corrupt.

The administration either doesn't see the bigger picture, it doesn't care, or it *does* see the bigger picture, and it leads to deregulation and 1920s policies which benefit the rich even more.

I would say yes, and a good portion of our population is ok with that. So far it's shaping up as Europe, Canada & Mexico vs US, Russia & NK with China waiting to pick up the pieces. Surely this will all end well.

Have we sent Russia money or equipment? Have we lifted sanctions on them? Are we sending troops to fight the Ukranians?

And what did we vote against? What exactly is our obligation to Ukraine? Doesn't the US give enough to defend Europe? These are the same people. shaking their heads and who *tsk,tsk* us who have never met their obligation to defend their own countries. The same people who said Ukraine was too corrupt for NATO.

I think we're closer to being in an alliance with Russia, China and Iran now, but only because Trump's doing such a good job of pushing us away from our current alliance.

The real awkward part will be getting Israel and Iran to shake hands.

Also guess future of european stance in this with USA is linked to their decision (or not) to switch to right/conservative governments

Wich will bring bunch of weird situations, because example in Italy we've been right/conservative for years (and Trump seems had decent words for Meloni) but at same time we support Ukraine and have to deal with EU partners that often don't behave as partners

The U.S has many sanctions under threat of any breached alliances as well .
