Social DEI is so dead

Do we have any stats on wage disparity with legal but non Americans or people who aren't white?
it's likely VERY skewed. My H1 coworkers make anywhere from 100-200K and that would drive the numbers very high. A large part of the legal folks come from wealthy backgrounds since it's nearly impossible to get access to america without large holdings. The asylum seekers havent got a lick and taking money from our government, two completely different set of individuals that are classified the same.

What do you mean by "large holdings"?

Is this practice for some stand-up routine you're working on?

Odd that you'd take the energy to get upset about this and post it here considering the avatar you are using..

Best self-own of 2024.

"Man I hate diversity!!" - guy with Av of fighter holding literal diversity blanket

Look closer, my av is not what you think it is

I don't think it's going anywhere. Look at how elite universities are blatantly ignoring the Supreme Court on affirmative action.

It'll take a few years and a few lawsuits for the SC decision to make its effects known.

Step 1: Look out for the trendy thing conservatives are getting rage boners about
Step 2: Find the trendy rage boner inducing thing in your personal life- reaching to find an example is encouraged!
Step 3: Concoct an anecdote about the rage boner inducing thing and post about it on a karate forum
Step 4: Take a bath in all the rage boners you have created among the people posting in your thread

Back when Bush was president, the trendy thing was gay marriage
Obama: still gay marriage for a bit, but then the Tea Party was created to oppose anything he thought about or did (tan suit, grey poupon, etc.)
Trump: find anything you don't like and/or identify with, call it woke

I'm willing to bet 5 years ago most people didn't know what DEI stands for.. but now that it's the trendy thing to hate, everyone does.
DEI is just rebranded Affirmative Action. Pretty sure most people know what it is since pretty much everyone who isn't black or a woman has been arguing against it since it was first introduced in 1965.

At the cost of their prestige. We will see how it work out in the next 5 years. Also rigid thinking wont be rewarded long term and red states are increasingly willing to defy the feds. Good luck sending the national guard because a red state ignored / eliminated some obscure pet issue.

It won't go like school desegregation.
Dei goes against the idea of "we are all one" but thag is obviously too nuanced for many of you
Maybe a DEI is a trojan horse for that?

Its not odd. Some people believe minorities are capable of doing things without a white savior holding their hand. Clearly, you're not one of them.
Clearly? Really? Point out to me where it is clear that I said anything alluding to what you just said.

All I am saying is no one gets rage boners about critical race theory (CRT) anymore.

It's not as trendy anymore. DEI is the current flavor.

I don't actually expect a coherent response so I'll just say a few things before I head out.

All I am doing is pointing out the silliness of these types of discussions. In my post I detailed a 4 step plan that essentially encompasses the formula for these discussions. The "argument" you are making here is the next level-

Step 5: when encountering even a hint of dissent from someone, use one of these types of talking points - strawman fallacies, ad hominem fallacies, or if worst comes to worst, you can always scream "TDS".

Your argument falls into the strawman category.

Regarding the silliness of these discussions and the rage boners people get based upon what it's "hip" to hate on, I'll share two anecdotes of my own!

About a month ago I was in a club in NYC. They had coed bathrooms. One guy there, instead of appreciating the fact he was at a fancy club surrounded by plenty of attractive single women, immediately said something about the coed bathrooms and how they are an example of the degenerate state Joe Biden's America was in.

Nevermind that coed bathrooms have existed in NYC clubs since the 70s... they exist because they can be a place to get away from the noise of the club and bar and can be an informal area to socialize.

Another time I was at a gas station upstate and there was 1 single stall bathroom for anyone to use. There was a sign on the door that said "all gender bathroom". The guy standing behind me in line said "wow, that's pretty woke"

There was only one bathroom. It can only be an all gender bathroom.

All I am saying these things people are getting rage boners about are not original thoughts and in many cases people are reaching so they can find an excuse to get a rage boner. I see it here all the time.

How about waiting 20 minutes for me to respond?. I'm not reading that shit. You took exception to comments here. Not sure why you'd take exception to them if you agreed with them.

"We are all one" doesn't mean to me what it means to you I guess.
