Social US Naval Academy Library Removes Nearly 400 Books in DEI Purge

Yes, our soldiers shouldn't be brainwashed into thinking that the country they are fighting for is the worst, and that they themselves are the source of all evil in the world. They should not be told, in any length, that it is more brave to wear a dress than it is to fight for your country. Finally, they need unity, not extreme individuality.

I know its difficult to comprehend, but America, the greatest country on earth, is back.

Yes, they should only be brainwashed into believing that they murdered a bunch pf innocent brown children and then lost their own life at 19 for Freedom, not because a bunch of billionaires wanted access to minerals and trillions of dollars in profit

Thats the only kind of brainwashing we stand for in this country!

Actually what you just said is also only present in the propaganda that's being thrown out. Do you know what American values are? And go ahead and show me a book that glorifies killing innocent people or civilians, I'll easily point to a dozen that states the opposite and is seen as the basis for our military culture.

As for your stance on war and military in general, it's an extremely shallow take. War is an unfortunate part of nature.

Mate, these aren't toddlers. These are grown men and women attending what is genuinely seen as the equivalent of an Ivy League College. Why does simply having a book in the library, equal brain-washing? Are our officers too dumb to form their own opinions?

I may not of had as prestigious an education, but as an enlisted man, if you felt I was mature enough to stack a bunch of bodies in Afghanistan and Iraq, surely I'm able to handle a Maya Angelou book.

Most Marines I know who saw combat, think that draft dodgers are pussies. Having one as commander in chief, is the exact opposite of being "back."

Is there an example of a book saying fighting in war is not bravery but wearing nonconforming clothing is? And I would be a little doubtful of a purposeful divide vs promoting individuality while also promoting unity. Plus, it's undeniable that the US does some evil things.

Either way, soldiers have a freedom of expression and right to read what they want. People say censoring the internet shouldn't be allowed because if people are stupid enough to listen to someone on X day to drink bleach to cure a disease they are on their own. Should they also not be allowed to make the same types of conclusions through books? Or is not all free speech good?

You seem to ignore the fact that being a soldier is an occupation. Also, you seem to assume that this material and this agenda was popular among soldiers, it wasn't, it was forced on them every step of the way by politically appointed progressive parties.

Everyone has a right to seek out this material in other libraries, the job of the navy however is to create an organizational culture that promotes efficient completion of tasks that are assigned to it, which is fighting, for America.
