Simple question. Ankalaev said in an interview that he was sparring with Ngannou but Francis was pissed because Ankalaev had defeated a friend of him (like 2 years ago) and was punching angrily, so Ankalaev said he just wrestled, took Ngannou down and held him there for enough time until Ngannou calmed himself. Later on, Ngannou was friendly.

If this morherfucker trusted he could be HW champion, he wouldn't cut any weight.
Simple.

If there's one thing Ngannou is best at it's imposing decapitation on opponents who make a lot of half-assed shitty takedown attempts.

Ngannou's not the HW champ and was only champ for 9 months 4 years ago. Jones trusted he could be HW champ and continued cutting to 205 for almost 15 years before moving up, DC cut to LHW and stayed there for years after Cain lost the title. Plenty of guys believe they could move up and be champ but stay at their weight class. Ankalaev has been a LHW his entire 11 year career. It's not like he's fat, so if you can make 205 and aren't losing, why would you switch?

Ankalaev is a more complete fighter. He can wrestle, his striking is technically better, as he's a kickboxer, not just a boxer. He is a heavy puncher, very tough... I think both Ankalaev and Alex Pereira, as they weigh normally ~240 lbs, beat Ngannou with moderate troubles

Not to mention LHW is the premiere division, HW is generally a dead division with barely any fight... So it's not surprising elite LHWs with a potential to be HW champion would rather not be a HW champion and get more PPV on LHW. DC went up and beat up Derrick Lewis easily when old. JJ went up and is ~ the best HW there is right now (Tom) even at 38 yo. To me any current top tier LHW, like Pereira and Ankalaev can become HW champion without much problems if it's Tom there. JJ we don't know. But like Topuria had trouble in flyweight but crushed the #2 lightweight in a round... The same way, big LHWs are generally >> HWs due to skills, fighting more often, and being more well versed. Ppl overrated HWs a lot.

If you are talking about Francis that is motivated and ready I dont think that would ever happen. He doesn't have anything advantage anywhere

Francis is way stronger and bigger. I think sometimes we look at weight. Weight is far from the only factor. Francis couldn't ever make 205 he is way bigger then both of them. Neither of them could take him down and keep him down. Outside of tom i wouldn't pick anyone beating Francis standing

He has every advantage except punching power. And even then, it's not too far of a difference. Ankalaev has better striking in general, better wrestling, better cardio... And is tough to not get KO'd by one shot from Ngannou.

Luffy with some ELITE delusion itt.

Solid.
