Because it has to be for the undisputed title. If they make it for the title, he'll fight anyone immediately. he already said as much. Make sense?

Facts must mean something absolutely different

Who cared what Tom wanted after he won interim, there was a fight scheduled before he was in contention for any belt or the Interim champion. The Stipe fight was signed before Aspinall was a top 3 division fighter. Aspinall was such a nobody at the time that he was not even worth being the backup to Jones vs Stipe, it was pavlovich, who was the next contender and backup.

Jones got injured before the fight with Stipe and the fight was pushed back for a year. The UFC did not offer Stipe the IC, because they viewed it as an insult to Stipe to fight some little upcoming kid instead of the Jon the Goat Jones. So Stipe waited for jones to come off injury and Jones fullfilled his obligation to fight Stipe at Madison Square Garden.

The only thing about that time is that Aspinall began crying to jones who was still on injury.

Well it isn't my first one in this thread. You disagree with that for whatever reason but trying to say who cares what the IC thinks is what made me not want to read the rest of your reply. Perhaps next time.

You were stating that jones was ducking Aspinall for Stipe but the reality was that he was not. The Stipe fight was already in motion and signed before Aspinall was even a contender for any belt.

I said who cares what the IC wants because jones already had a fight scheduled before Tom was IC. A fight that was rescheduled because of an injury and a fight that needed to be fulfilled first, and any one can understand that. It seems Toms dick riders cannot.

Jones got injured before the stipe fight and it was pushed back for a year. Aspinall becomes Interim champion during that time, which is fine but it makes no difference as Stipe was still the next contender/opponent to fight jones.
