Ariel’s details on why Jones vs Tom fell thought

Jon has literally never lost bud LMAO
Jon lost by DQ.

And if you're going to argue that the "official" result doesn't matter, what matters is what the fight looked like (i.e. Jon dominated Matt Hammil),

Then that means Jones lost his first fight against Gustafsson, as well as his fight against Reyes.

So yes, Jones lost. Either by his official record, or unofficially by how the fights went.

Jon's like a little kid. When they take his belt away again there will be a tantrum, mark my words
So he did it last time then?

Helwani is trash, but "blackballed journalist" isn't an indictment. It usually means someone has integrity. I'm not arguing that Helwani does.
Yeah it’s not an attack on his character. I’ve never cared for him personally. But there’s absolutely nothing to suggest he has insider info or that his take has any more merit than a random fan.

Jon should think about it for a few more years . Ya never know. Aspinal should just continue to wait

He swears up and down that he knows 'for a fact' that UFC met Jon's asking price. Is he lying about that? If not, how does he know that?

No one including the UFC took that as a loss. You're not as smart as you think you are LOL

Huh? The UFC announce his record with it as a loss. He certainly wasn't "beaten" in that fight but it's absolutely counted as a loss.

He headlined a show his very next fight after the DQ - you are right. No one cares about that - it might as well be a W.

The difference is the Hammil fight is inarguable - the other fights are arguable.

I still think Jones won all of them, but you are open to your own opinion.. the fact is he still did win all of them according to the judges.

His career moved forward as if it was a win. He headlined a show his very next fight.

That's fine but it's literally on his record as a loss.

No one cares but Jones haters

To a degree, yeah. As a matter of practicality I just swap it wirh the Reyes fight so to me he has a loss on his record that he doesn't deserve and a win that he doesn’t deserve and it's a wash.

The majority of people think Jones lost Gus 1 & Reyes.

The point is, you can't pick and choose which losses to re-litigate. You either go by the official record, or you re-litigate every fight.

Gotta love that last part. "Jon is interested in fighting, just not vs Tom Aspinal specificallyl"

Man, if all this is true and Jon turns this down and it's more and more public, this will burn his legacy. Not completely, but it will be a dark cloud. People always remember the end of a career.

If ducking one fight is enough to burn someone's legacy in your mind, you never really thought they had a legacy to begin with.
