You sure sound desperate to be above something. I used to be like that when I was in my twenties. Then, I grew up and stopped saying "inquiry" all the time when I meant "question." It takes time.

The Sopranos isn't for teenagers. The Wire isn't, either. I love that show, and it's the only show I've seen in the same ballpark.

The very fact that you appreciate the Nancy Marchandt episodes shows that you have NO appreciation for the show. That means Seasons 1 and 2 are where the show peaked for you. You probably think "College" is the best episode, where Tony says "Jimmy says 'Hello' from Hell, you fuck." Go rewatch the show. See how much they hit you over the head with themes like Moral relativism in s1, and how they use shitty musical scores to make it look like shit. And then, go watch any later season and tell me it's not leagues better.


It gets a lot darker as the show goes on, and Tony becomes a much more realistic criminal. He's a violent scumbag. That can be a turn off for some who just want the less sociopathic Tony from season 1.

I have him ignored, but I'm not surprised Dr. Fong is wrong about the sopranos when hes wrong about literally everything he's ever opened his mouth about for the most part.

The Sopranos even solely on small character development details (Tony goes from the early seasons taking a slice of gabagool or a plate of ziti from the fridge, later seasons with all the stress built up he takes entire packages and baking pans out of the fridge to demolish) is better in the later seasons, let alone the writing, cinematography and yes even music getting better.

Show is amazing through and through, don't get me wrong the early seasons are great, but it's markedly better as it ramps up. Yes including the ending.

I don't remember him being arrogant or shit talking, but I might have just missed it. As far as his gas tank, I don't think it was bad, I think he fought with an insanely high pace with high energy techniques that would have gassed out just about anybody. I don't know how that would've translated to 5 rounds. I also don't know why his gas tank would make you hate him?
