I don't remember him being arrogant or shit talking, but I might have just missed it. As far as his gas tank, I don't think it was bad, I think he fought with an insanely high pace with high energy techniques that would have gassed out just about anybody. I don't know how that would've translated to 5 rounds. I also don't know why his gas tank would make you hate him?

I think it will be a meltdown because of who will be beating him since people generally dislike ankalaev. If Jiri beat alex no one would care since jiri is a big fan favourite
Poatan either becomes a mythical super soldier or an amazing fighter who had a good run after this next fight. If he beats Ankalaev, he enters a new level that may of been exaggerated before but impossible to ignore if he KO's this dude. Alex is old, fights too much, has taken damage and has no reason to give 150% in the ring anymore and Ankalaev has been passed over for like 5 years now. Crazy fight. I can't believe people are not excited for this.
edit: Ankalaev would have so many more fans if he adopted the the nickname "The Owl". It works because he has really good vision and he fucking looks like an owl. (Somebody on reddit mentioned this and I can't not see it when I look at him. lol)

how do you know he'll be inactive? He's just inactive recently because he was waiting for his title shot but alex stepped in on short notice to fight Jiri which delayed it after the hill fight and then he got offered rakic. He fought volkan, santos, smith, and Jan in a 14 month span so that's 4 fights in 14 months, doesn't seem like an inactive fighter
