Khamzhat arguably tougher than Whittaker for Poatan because of the styles, but he’s still a former WW that can’t fight at a high pace for 2 rounds without getting super sloppy in the standup.

Main point was Ank is far tougher than both - way bigger/stronger/more reach with a more balanced game and can take more damage before breaking down.

Ank’s biggest problems are taking the initiative and game planning for opponents.

Against their common opponents, Rakic is 2-2 and Ankalaev is 3-0-1.
Rakic's best wins, Smith and Santos were also beaten by Anklalev.
Ankalaev's best wins (Volk, Krylov and Johnny Walker) were not beaten by Rakic.
Rakic is on a 2-fight losing streak and Ankalaev is on a 12-fight unbeaten streak.

I'm not saying Ankalaev is guaranteed to win, but I'm curious as to how Rakic is more proven.

The thing is though we need to know what weight class those fights are at, that changes a lot.. like he says DDP is only 4, but does he mean at LHW or MW, see if that fight is at MW then DDP goes up a lot because that weight cut for Alex is brutal and draining and will take so much out of him, especially as he is getting older, that will have a big effect on his performance and how hard the fight will be. We need more context

more like a 9 - that weight cut would do 99% of the work for DDP

He's more proven? He's 2-3 against ranked fighters, Ank is 5-0-1 against ranked fighters. Ank finished Smith, Rakic couldn't. Ank convincingly beat Volkan, Rakic couldn't.
