I thought he would end up being a more exciting fighter when he first started out. His fights kinda sucked and he never really delivered unfortunately.

May the "A level athlete would dominate UFC with 1 year of training" stupidity be forever etched in Sherdog history.

no, since that's been disproven they deflect to:

1. Schaub and Mitrione had decent careers even though they weren't that great of football players, imagine what a good football player could do

2. Actually, what they meant to argue about was the impossible scenario of if someone who had the athleticism to make it to the nfl trained mma from a young age, they'd dominate especially at HW

sonyou think a guy who never fought in his life with no martial arts training until his 30s who fought the top guys went the distance with volkov isn’t a good athlete?

sonyou think he was just really skilled is what gets him by?

he was in his mid to late 20's when he started and he really didn't fight top guys, he had a few nice kos and went the distance with volk, that's the highlight of his career.

Whatever you think of him, dude has always been a great sport since joining the UFC.

Well color me surprised. I guess UFC didn't feel he was worth what they were paying him, and Hardy wasn't willing to take a pay cut.

Hopefully he gets serious or quits. Walking around at 300+ lbs is absurd. It's not he's 7 foot tall.

Get on a real diet, walk around about 275, take grappling serious, knock off few regional and get signed to a bigger organization.

In fairness to Hardy he hasn't even been pro for 4 years.

BKFC may be willing to pay him so I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up their. PFL would also make sense, they badly need new HWs.

Dude won 4 fights in the highest MMA org with absolutely zero background in anything fight related. It's not exactly a great look for MMA regardless lol

he was almost 30 when he joined a beginners class in mma and was in the ufc fought 2 top 5 guys.

are you pretending that’s achievable in any sport that has ever existed ?

Greg Hardy and Nate Robinson both proved that it doesn’t matter if your an A level athlete. It’s not a cake walk going into combat sports just because you were good at football and basketball
