Why do fans pretend Tom is not the real duck?

I mean who I think it's going to win more likely is a fantasy, as worth as anyone's opinion on who'd win. Same way ppl say Tom quickly wins I disagree as I see the opposite when rewatching their recent fights as more likely to happen if they clash (I think they will, it'd be a loss of opportunity not to have this fight made). It's just my guess on how I think it'd go. I'm in the 2% here yeah but any "who wins in your opinion?" when replied confidently is fantasy... We have never seen them fight... They haven't fought even the same opponent... So it's all speculation ofc. And no one uses IMO when saying "fighter A smashes", so don't take the fact I don't add those as me acting like I'm the truth when it's just an opinion like everyone else's lol. We must chill out on these "I think it goes this" ... It's all guess work based off what we think is more likely from analysing their fights, styles, etc. Apparently you take mine as if I'm laying the truth when I frame it the same way everyone who's confident does. Don't give me too much credit lol consider it an opinion from a random fan which I am as well as most ppl here...

Luff...you know full well Inwas talking about your claim that Jones and Aspinall ALREADY fought.

I hear ya but if my only choice is get pissed or laugh, I'll just laugh at him. The fake quotes are hilarious though, who does he think he's fooling?
Which fake quotes? Because what I posted about Tom isn't fake. I can post both videos here with 100% certainty. If you even type "Tom talks about Alex Pereira fight" you will see the first "I think he should rematch Ankalaev" interview done in end of June or start of July this year. He said the same on his live interview in July with Ariel when asked about Alex Pereira (also accessibly on YouTube... The part right before Tom's father appeared there). If you access the Fight Lab TNZ channel and go down until the "Alex Pereira vs Jiri UFC 303 analysis" you will see Tom saying "if I fight Alex Pereira, that's gonna be one of the toughest fights of my career", which he followed by analysing the Pereira vs Jiri 2, right around July 2024, before his fight at 304 vs Blaydes.

So... You can easily find them on YouTube. If you can't, I can show the videos with the time stamps here. There's no "made up" quote, @Captain Herb is just too lazy to even follow videos that go past 5 minutes, so the poor guy is clueless. He doesn't know what the fighters themselves say because he just reads headlines.

Ok... I take that one back. They will fight. WILL. Better that way, I must have mistyped already fought by will fight, it happens 😁

I admit when I said that in the rare occasions that I was full on trolling. That time. I've never said anything else regarding a fight already done behind doors with such outcome because I troll here and then, like in that Buff Jiri thread. Don't take everything seriously, harmless trolling doesn't hurt anyone. It's like me saying Khabib and GSP fought behind doors and Khabib won by 4th round RNC... Lol come on

Luffy, I've watched videos you post and then you misquote what the guy actually said. I've literally checked them numerous times. Not just Tom/Jones/Alex. You always get **kinda** close to what they said but how you change it makes a huge difference. You absolutely are NOT quoting what the fighters actually said.

Dude-I don't care if you troll or not. The point is that there's then no way to take anything you say seriously. That's kinda how trolling works.

Except I didn't misquote. Prove it. Prove that I misquoted. I challenge you.

Everyone trolls sometimes. If you don't know what joking means and to separate those from serious posts, then you don't understand jokes.

Btw, that stuff you know what it is too. It's not a trip as you yourself said you saw it too. But it's not advised to talk about it here.

You guys love to talk about psychological disorders, addictions... I know it's a karate forum here so those name droppings are expected, but they aren't fun. If you ever lived with someone who's addicted and has a psychological disorders like schizophrenia or psychotic depression, you'd know how heavy it is to the person (I have a relative who suffered from both at the same time once so I understand sort of the pain).

Like I said, the morons on this site live to throw that around at the drop of a hat. Thanks for backing me up on that.

After a 15 year career and endless talk of coming up to HW he makes his HW debut 3 months after Ngannous contract expires. Then after a year of Tom being interim champ and everybody loudly and repeatedly calling for the fight, he instead defends the belt against a 42 year old who hadnt won a fight in over 4 years and had no wins over anyone in the top 10. Then we get another 6 months or so of people agan loudly and repeatedly calling for the fight and Jon literally vacates the belt and retires.

"at the drop of a hat" indeed, sounds like you were dropped on your head.

Going in circles... No one can escape this spiral of death

At this point he is the one with the belt, dismissing Jones is probably the way to do it, it was probably the move back then when he was the Interim champion, but as of right now he is past Jon Jones, fight isnt happening, im not saying the 30 million offer was real, but if it was, then there is no money to draw him to fight Aspinall, specially now that it wont be a PPV for them to fight on.

I said it before and I say it again: I don´t know what is wrong. But I know it IS something wrong.
Is it attention? If you count in the fact, that everytime a Luffy-thread jumps to the second side you don´t have to wait long till another new Luffy-threat pops up. So it´s hard to deny that could be it.
Is it some kind of social media addiction? I don´t know much about that shit but perhaps. I don´t have an account anywhere else. But I heard of stuff like that.
Or some kind of compensation of manlet syndrome? Beefing around with some random forum dudes may be a thing for someone like that....

@Luffy You are not the only one with experiences like that. There are countless who have made it themself or with close relatives. May be the reason why some tell you that someone should look into it.
I didn´t give you any names or even tried to insult you. I only speculate, and I do it BECAUSE of experience.
If you have some sort of disorder it´s your problem. But you can live with nearly every disorder if it is proper diagnosed and gets treated properly.

The more weird your stuff gets the more people are pissed. And the more pissed they are the more contenance gets lost. And I read some comments of people who have reached that point already. So you have to question yourself if that is what you want to get out of it. For me there are better goals to reach than that.
And no, what you are showing nearly every day isn´t funny anymore. Spinning some weird controversy time and again is only annoying AF. Even a real troll is more entertaining, but you haven´t reached that point yet or
you´re way over the goal line.

You misquote all the time. I'm at work, not gonna sit through those videos to see if you quoted them correctly or not. At least not now. I'm just going by the numerous times in the past you've quoted fighters and when I hear what they actually said, it's not what you claim. It might be close, but there are key omissions or you leave out qualifiers that provide important context. I'm not debating this, I've seen it multiple times previously.

As for me "seeing it too" obviously I was mocking you a bit (in good fun). I didn't see something that didn't happen. Nor did you. Although you still claimed for weeks you "knew" it had happened.

You start with "I don't know what's wrong" then spend a paragraph diagnosing me with attention-seeking, addiction, "manlet syndrome", and a disorder. That's not discussion, that's cheap armchair psychology and ad hominem. It just makes you look cringe, actually, if you haven't realized.

Plus, it doesn't address a single point I've made... If a thread I do hits page 2 and I make a follow-up it's because ppl are engaging. If mods think it's spam, they'd lock it. If you think I'm breaking rules, quote the lines and report. If not (I don't think you even know what you're talking about btw), scroll or use the ignore feature... Speculating about disorders and height and wtv is just cringe... It sounds some sort of projection actually, if I'd guess so myself. And it's totally irrelevant to the topic. Like I said, I match tone. When ppl come respectfully, I stay there. When it turns personal, I've no reason to be nice. If you want "less weird controversy" then you are already setting a bad example by not arguing the substance.... Tell me where my reasoning is wrong, bring receipts and we can go point by point, which is the reason for the forum, to discuss about mma. Until then, keep on topic, not on me.

Example? If you don't cite an example, then... I'm not buying it.

There it goes. You have no example. And no, I haven't misquoted. Check the videos and see for yourself. It shouldn't be hard.

I'm not going back through the freaking dozens upon dozens of your threads trying to find the ones I looked at and saw it. Or randomly spending the time with all your crazy amount of other threads collecting examples.

I'm not saying this to be an asshole--that's why I specifically said I'm NOT debating it. I saw different examples previously and the reason I said I'm not debating it is because I absolutely don't care if you're "buying it" or not. If I happen across an example when I'm looking through, I'll note it but I'm not making it a research project.

Can someone explain the psychology behind the motivation to make troll threads?
