Who should Usyk fight next?🤔

I havent met the man and felt his punches but his mechanics are excellent for power with good back recruitment.

So it will inevitably produce good force. But he isn't a strong man . If he was, with those types of punches, he would be wrecking dudes. Fury wouldn't be able to eat them round after round.

But nobody has everything.
In terms of power Usyk has never been a puncher but he has accurate punch placement and good timing. Fury was able to eat those shots because he's so much bigger that it helped him absorb it. Physically Usyk is very strong. He shut down Fury's usual tactics in the clinch and shoved him off when necessary.

Not sure what the WBO is thinking. Usyk is going to rematch Dubois next in an undisputed title fight. Unifications take precedence over mandatories. If that fight doesn't happen next then that's when they should order their mandatory. They've jumped the gun.

WBO Regulations’—Section 1(b), Clause 5

Chairman of the Committee (hereinafter the Chairman), who shall be appointed by the
President. The members of this Committee, upon appointment, shall hold office until their
successors have been appointed. In the event that the Chairman is unavailable, the WBO
President shall have all powers and authority of the Chairman. (b) The World
Championship Committee shall have the following powers and discretion:

(5) To approve the terms and conditions under which a Champion may extend
the time for a Mandatory challenge so as to compete in a Unification Bout or
a Unification Tournament;

In the WBO's own words…
unification fights take precedence over defences ordered by governing bodies.

such unification, would take precedence over the rights afforded to the winner of the elimination bout

“The proposed rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois, for the undisputed heavyweight title, could be bound for London’s Wembley Stadium, according to Usyk’s promoter.”
'We are working on Oleksandr Usyk-Daniel Dubois II'

Holy shit. This is almost unimaginable. If Usyk does go to Dubois' backyard then it will be the craziest move of his career. Even more so than him going to Russia to fight Gassiev after the Crimean invasion.

Why is that? He fought Joshua in the UK. Because Usyk would be the A Side?

Most of Usyk's notable wins have come in his opponents' backyards but this is even riskier given the low blow controversy against Dubois last time. Not to mention that Dubois is arguably the dirtiest top level fighter in boxing today. Besides frequent dick punching he also uses his head like a battering ram as he did against Hrgovic. Usyk is the A-side, and he has a pretty good following in the UK, but the BBBofC would be sanctioning this fight and Dubois is their fighter.

Aside from the low blow Dubois didnt accomplish much. And the low blow doesn't count. Usyk shouldnt be too worried.

I'll watch it with interest but Dubios looked mentally weak against Usyk. It was kinda similar to Joshua.

It never looked like Dubois felt he was an equal fighter in there. He could have been much more productive .
Against Joshua he looked like he believed in it.

The one thing Dubios has that joshua doesnt is the jab. But it didnt make a difference last time around.

Dubios has in some way more potential than Joshua. Joshua has much crisper, individual shots. Dubios has better combination punching. better jab. A little bit better chin.

But Joshua is mentally stronger than Dubios. Which is saying a lot, and not in a good way

how old are you?

I agree but Dubois is a dangerous fighter that knows how to use his dirty tactics to set up big shots that are legal. Obviously Usyk isn't worried otherwise they wouldn't even be considering fighting him in his backyard. As I said before Usyk is known to do this but in this case I think it could end up being a big mistake. He may be the A-side but he's also on the way out and Dubois is the one with all of the upside. Meaning, if say fouls do come into play again, Usyk may not get the calls he otherwise would have previously.

I dont know if Dubios makes those fouls intentionally. Some punchers are pretty imprecise and Dubois generally isn't a great precision puncher. That's also why he isn't better.

If joshua kept fouling I would say it's intentional.

Maybe Dubios was saved from his match against Parker to pull an upset against Usyk....

in his destiny.

Dubois intentionally fouls opponents with low blows & headbutts. There's no way around it.

You should check out his posts in the stand up forum. He's a bit... special, but a decent contributor to the forum.
Oh, he's special alright, and not in a good way. He believes that he knows more about speed than Mike Tyson. <lol><lmao>
I dont care what they say. I can see with my own eyes. its timing and pattern of movement. If he had very fast hands he would be a puncher.

Oh yikes I didn't see that. He recently made a thread in the standup forum with pictures of his gloves a certificate to prove that he's been in a fight and been hit in the face.

Maybe the WBO is trying to save us from being force-fed endless fucking rematches.

If Usyk fights Dubois again, we will reach seven years since he last fought at CW. So 5 HW opponents in 7 years.

As much as we all fluff Usyk, ultimately his HW resume has the top end talent but is as deep as a puddle of piss. And it will hurt his legacy when boxing historians reassess it.

Beating guys like Parker would mean more than beating the same guy again.
