Who should Usyk fight next?🤔

Maybe the WBO is trying to save us from being force-fed endless fucking rematches.

If Usyk fights Dubois again, we will reach seven years since he last fought at CW. So 5 HW opponents in 7 years.

As much as we all fluff Usyk, ultimately his HW resume has the top end talent but is as deep as a puddle of piss. And it will hurt his legacy when boxing historians reassess it.

Beating guys like Parker would mean more than beating the same guy again.
Usyk was only fighting once a year until recently. It's what you call a top heavy resume. Have you seen Fury's resume? It's not exactly deep, either. His legacy won't be hurt by it much if any because his full resume is strong (cruiser + heavy).

He never said hand speed and if he did he's wrong
Yeah, he only described it. What Mike is describing here is Usyk beating Joshua to the punch. You need hand speed to do that. Timing alone won't allow a fighter to do it as consistently as Usyk did in there.

“It’s gonna be hard to beat him, it’s gonna be hard to beat Usyk because he’s fast and he outpunched Joshua with his jab.”

Mike Tyson: Joshua Has Gotta Be Accurate Against a Guy Like Usyk

If you still don't believe that Usyk has fast hands then you're delusional. Go rewatch the first Joshua fight. Usyk was able to not only land his back hand regularly at one point he even managed to double up on it in rapid succession. His hand speed allowed him to do it.

Mike also said Holyfield was the best puncher he ever faced. He says a lot of random stuff

Nice try but Mike knows speed when he sees it. He had that attribute in spades. Dubois also credited Usyk's speed for the power that he generated. It's almost like a pattern is starting to emerge.

The fact is that Joshua is much rangier than Usyk. He enjoyed significant height & reach advantages. So did Fury and yet it didn't matter. Usyk was able to constantly close the gap, land his shots, and get out without being clipped. How? By having the hand speed to match his foot speed. Your feet & hands are supposed to be synchronized anyway unless you deliberately split your timing. He's fleet of foot which allows him to constantly beat his opponents to position and his swift hands allow him to actually capitalize. The more you know.

Here is he is young. He's ok. Nothing phenomenal in the sport.

And here's his speed in todays AGE

Average

LOL at this desperate attempt to convince anyone that Usyk isn't fast. Say whatever you like but I'll take Mike's opinion and Dubois' over yours any day of the week. I think that you've been kicked in the head one too many times playing karate with your pals. It's evident.

Taekwondo if I may. The Koreans are still bitter about the Japanese occupation.

I would still like to see Joshua fight Usyk if he lets his hands go. Step into his shots.

But hes such a mental midget against Usyk it wont ever happen.

Joshua even said before their first fight it's not about who wins, it's about the entertainment

I knew then and there he doesnt believe in it.

He fights like a smaller weight division but has the chin of big guys, and his cardio is endless. That about sums him up.

My hand speed has gone down in my 30s but I still punch faster than little rabbit.

@Intermission Dubois says that Usyk hits harder than your boy Fury. We also know that he credits Usyk's speed for generating his pop. Interesting.

Dubois Reveals Who Hits Harder Between Usyk And Fury After Sharing The Ring With Both

“Usyk.”

Not totally chocked. The footage of young Usyk on the bag looked like someone who had pretty good pop that warrants attention. His hand speed is not bad but we are comparing him to guys who punch for a living.

I would be very interested to know what would have happened if Usyk had fought the guy he was originally set to make his HW debut against, Tyrone Spong (14-0-13)... Spong is massive puncher (similiar to Ngannou). And hes not a mental midget like Joshua. Spong was a very experienced kickboxer so he was used to high pressure fights.

This is a brutal finish.

Perhaps I misspoke. Usyks team knew exactly what they were doing. Spong should stick to kickboxing.

This is awful. His opponents isnt any good.

Spong was a big name in the kickboxing world but in boxing he would've been a layup opponent for Usyk. That's why he was willing to fight Spong in his heavyweight debut. All of the guys he was knocking out were either inexperienced or straight up bums. Gassiev, Briedis, Joshua & Dubois all hit harder than Spong does.

The PowerKube is a joke. Ngannou held the record until a middleweight in the UFC by the name of Joe Pyfer beat it. Then Pereira, who also used to fight at middleweight, came along and beat his record. Last I checked Eddie Hall of all people holds the current record.

‘The whole thing is a scam’ – UFC legend dismisses Eddie Hall as he breaks Alex Pereira’s world’s hardest punch record
Yeah I know, and I wanted to buy that shit. is there anything that is actually legit?
