Who deserves it more, Morales or Garry

I agree. I also understand why people would rather see Morales who's more exciting and a more fascinating match-up vs. Islam. But their resumes aren't even close. The MVP win is also pretty impressive for Garry. He's the only guy who's beaten Page in the UFC and one of only 3 career losses for MVP. I'm not sure if Morales could beat Page without using his alleged childhood wrestling/judo background. Page is 3 inches taller with the same reach, and would negate most everything Morales does well in striking. Morales might KO him like Lima did, but I don't see him winning a pure striking fight that goes the distance.
You seem to be making the case that the way people win is important - which is the wrong route to go down for Garry fans

Should be Garry
Who he beat matters over how he beat them
Plus he fights way more often and takes all comers
Morales 3 fights across 2024 and 2025
Garry 4

Way more is a massive reach

That ine extra fight doing a lot of heavy lifting here

I prefer watching Morales, but what makes you think that his resume is better? Are you only basing it off of finishes? In terms of names, Garry actually has the better ones on his record. Belal, Prates, and MVP are better names, even they were underwhelming decision wins.
Read the OP i responded.

That's what

He fought 5 times from Jan 2024
3 times in 2024 and 2 times in 2025.
Plus it who he fighting, Neal, Venom, Rakhmonov, Prates and Belal. That's a very good lineup form 2024
Ah my bad

I hadnt scrolled down far enough on 2024 and missed the first one

Fair enough then

If he could he would. Nothing wrong with playing it safe, the annoying part is acting like an unstoppable KO artist when the performance indicates otherwise.
I kindly disagree, I think there is something wrong to playing it safe. I'm not saying going like a Bozo swinging haymakers, but at least take a few more chances in the fight.

Conor won a round <RIP>
lol.

Thats like a football team losing 6-0 but saying “aye, but we won a corner”.

No doubt the judges awarded him a round, highly debatable he “won” it in truth though

He got his shit pushed in from start to finish

yeah I said Garry has the best skills to match up with Islam compared to the rest of the division, which is debatable, but your reply didn't address that at all and didn't even have anything to do with it. If you're gonna shitpost speed dial a thread at least take the time to read what you're responding to. Then I gave you a nice easy out with a very obvious joke, but instead you do this lol. Hit the showers kid, you dont got it tonight (thats a baseball reference, lest you misinterpret that too;))

Ian Garry deserves it more, he's beat more top opponents and has been more active. Even the loss to Shavkat is a credit for him because Shavkat's the undefeated killer of 170 and Ian made it close and wasn't afraid to sign against him in the first place

Belal+Prates > Brady+Gilbert

No clear mandate? He beat Prates. Or is excitement more valuable to you than winning fights?

Ok?

He also lost to Shavkat and while the two guys he beat are really good, he has two wins in a row vs. 19 for Morales and Shavkat.

He is clearly #3 in line, so as the other guy stated he does not have a clear mandate for antitle shot.
