Has one division ever had so many shake-ups on a single night? Last night blew up WW's rankings. (Update: Brady was #2, now #7. Ruthless times)

Shavkat should be bumped way down.
Inactivity should derank people, imo, but when you have a situation where Shav beat Garry less than a year ago, and Garry beat Prates this year, then the fact Prates beat Leon last night (who is on a losing streak) should be more reflected by Leon dropping than Prates vaulting.

No one knows when he's coming back really. At least push him down a few spots then let him fight someone in the top 5 whenever he comes back.

well stated
Normally at this stage ... I have nostalgia .. for the aging fighters

But not this group

These motherfuckers been ducking these killers and ain't give nobody a shot at the top of that mountain for too long.

Ass whoopings are due.

Usman trying to claim a next title shot without a win over ANYONE in the top 9.

I really think you should take the subjectivity out of it and have them trade numbers. And any champ that loses should automatically be bumped down to number five and everyone else shifted down accordingly.

Well, with Belal losing to Garry, this division is even more confusing. There are a ton of great fights to be made here and I hope we see them.

These are the rankings right now:

Champ: Islam
1. JDM
2. Belal
3. Morales
4. Shavkat
5. Garry
6. Prates
7. Brady
8. Usman
9. Edward
10. Buckley

Brady fell from #2 to #7 in a single week, basically swapping with Morales. These are ruthless times.

Is there an error ? Gary at 5 belal at 2?

I love this division. Always have. We're getting back to good times, lately. The competition is getting fierce. Very happy to have newcomers like Morales and Prates making statements, and even old dogs like Usman and Belal still giving them hell. I do wonder how far Machado-Garry's elite fight IQ is going to carry him.

Yeah, WW used to be a shark tank and it looks like things are coming 'round again. It's crazy how many top guys GSP beat that could have been a champ in any other era.

The whole UFC knob gobbling talking head crew was glazing him up as the next sacrificial lamb for Islam last night.

I fully agree with you that Usman doesn't deserve the shot, but the fight itself interests me from a stylistic POV. Islam will not be able to outwrestle Kamaru, Kamaru may well be able to outwrestle Islam, and Makhachev will be forced to stand up with a guy who doesn't get tired for 5 rounds. Islam's great, but that is a tough fight for him.

Obviously Shavkat, Garry, Prates, etc deserve the shot way more, but if the fight with Kamaru happens first I won't necessarily be heartbroken... unless this is the fight where Usman's knees both just give up and explode!

5 Yesrs ago... maybe.

If they book this human sacrifice to the tard God-

People (some... possibly a lot) are going to find out:

Usman is old and his knees are shot
- Time is linear and irreversible
- whatever perceived Islam proof wrestling Kamaru may or may not have had in his prime... he ain't got it with his shot 39 year old knees

It's not going to be competitive.

I'm not a gambling man but I would bet my left testicle on that.

Comfortably.

And apologies if I am being an asshole.
You were not aggressive towards me and I am not mad at you...

But the circumstances of this are annoying.

We have REAL ... young, hungry, active contenders.

And the champs of this era - Islam very much included - are simply not active enough to justify wasting a title fight on this ridiculous charade of a free title defense
