In both scenario Morales and Garry should just fight each other. I know sherdog is currently in love with Morales legendary Ecuadorian school of grappling but he definitely needs another fight.

I'd put Morales's 19 win streak with Burns and Brady over Shavkat's resume especailly with a 1 year hiatus

I want them to fight, Morales should be ready anytime he took zero damage, Ian did go 3 rounds today and might be a bit sore tommorrow for defending takedowns but otherwise, they really could fight soon.
But yeah, Ian will never accept.. Waldo gets badly poked and almost tko:ed 3 weeks ago and today fights and wins by ko. Absolutely in a different position than Ian.. But I wish that is what the UFC will do. I just think Ian is very boring, talks about KOing everyone and being exciting but never is, I probably just want someone to knock him out and maybe Morales is that guy.

Morales is young. I'd rather see Garry get the shot. I think Morales gets run over based on lack of experience fighting high level guys.

I agree. Islam most likely fight iq and experience diffs Morales pretty badly. I'd rather see Ian get it as well. He's the only one out of the new crop of contenders outside of Shavkat who has the fight iq, experience and well roundedness to give Islam a competitive fight.

Brady for Morales was a better win in regards to title contention than Prates at the time for Ian.

Morales needs more seasoning (cumin) and we really don't need to hear the incessant post fight pissing and moaning after he inevitably gets smothered. Garry has earned it, he has the high level experience in his pocket, he's got the best fight IQ and style to counter Islam. Morales vs. Shavkat #1 contender fight makes all the sense in the world for both of them.
