Who are you rooting for - Sterling or O'Malley?

I kinda want Sean to win now because Umar vs Cory. If Umar can win, Umar vs Sean is a great match up and some backstory as well. Sean vs Cory is a great fight, too. Two lanky strikers. And I don't know if Sterling even gonna move up after this. Merab is there as well. I'm kinda sick of it, I want things to change.

But of course, I favor Sterling heavily. I don't see Sean winning this but hope he proves me wrong. Sterling's fighting style just makes me sick.

I like O’Malley’s fighting style more but it would be cool to see Sterling get over the hump with a dominant performance.

Sean has really good jitz, and his takedown defense is not bad either. Obviously Sterling is better, but he is no slouch on the ground. And it has been a while since he competed so I expect him to be better. He is also a very sound counter puncher and Aljo tends to be a bit reckless in his forward offense.

I want Sean because of the possible matchups going forward. He’ll likely be more active than Aljamain, and is very marketable. Want Aljo to move up so we can see him and Volk.

Sterling did things the hard way, and I appreciate that more than sean o'Malley. The "Sean o'malley path" has literally become a catch phrase for taking easier, cherry picked path to a title. Say what you want about sterling, but he's gone through the gauntlet -- he didn't get rewarded for being popular on tik tok.

Well what I want from this fight merely ties into one of my concerns about the sport--- the fact that the rules heavily, heavily favor wrestling.

Watching Aljo turn into a worm on the mat to avoid getting kneed was absurd. I know we can't emulate real street fights perfectly but the idea is to most closely resemble it, and in any realistic world, doing that gets you clobbered to deah.

Kind of tough since O’Malley is cringy, but a talented striker. Aljo has had a weird title run, but is a legit fighter. I do feel bad because I think he ragdolls O’Malley, but fans will be like well he doesn’t have a ground game. Or if Sterling gets tagged in the process of winning that will be the main talking point.

Unsure who I’m rooting for though. lol
