Social Fat shaming. 489 pound woman is suing Lyft after one of their drivers refused to let her ride in his vehicle because of his concerns about her fitting

yeah yeah i know, get the fat jokes out. but in all seriousness, she's not insane to expect an option to be available for her big ass.
Yeah a lot of people don't really think hard about the fact that you don't want taxi companies or rideshare companies being able to pick and choose who they pick up. It's how you ended up with redlining equivalents and a lot of ugly stuff back in the day.

I’d charter her around in the bed of my F150 for $1.00/mile (per 100lbs)
It’s even got built in scales in the bed that I can read from the dashboard so she can’t sneak any flubber by me.

There is and it isn't arbitrary. Large vehicles burn more gas and are more expensive to operate.

I've used UberXL many times, but that's when it's a group of people. This heifer needs UberXXXL.

She weighs a quarter ton. Most regular cars cannot handle that weight.

It's not necessarily her weight. Normal cars can handle 3 guys in an Uber/lyft who weigh more collectively then her. It's that she's so wide she probably couldn't fit in the door of the car the guy was driving. She should have ordered the xl option which
Lyft has. She probably ordered the cheapest option and dude pulls up in a Ford escort. Not gonna work lady

I wonder what the defense will argue.
Personally I would go with if she can fit in the car, we plea guilty, if not we go free.
There is no way she can fit in a regular car.

She needs an UPS truck. but I guess shipping based on weight is a lot more than a Lyft

Large and in charge female rapper (or wrapper, as in candy wrappers and lots of them) is suing Lyft because one of their drivers refused to take her on as a fare because she weighs almost 500 lbs and he had safety concerns about his vehicle. She claims “she stands for her commmunity and if she doesn’t stand up now, she will fall for anything.” Dear god, please don’t fall. Last thing we need is an earthquake. And she needs a forklift. She is suing and her attorney claims that weight discrimination is a protected class in Detroit same as race or religion. However, I checked and it is illegal to not hire someone because of their weight in Michigan, but it says nothing about denial of service, so I guess we will see how this pans (as in cooking pans) out. And how can she sue the company when this was the action of one driver that is an independent contractor?

Also, might as well discuss very obese or large people that are being forced to pay for two plane seats when they can’t fit in a single seat.

So, is fat shaming wrong?

It's gonna blow!!!

it's so fun when everything is a joke hahahaha nick mullen sam hyde hahahahaha

Lyft guy did some quick math "my eco friendly vehicle just went from 40 mpg's to 12 mpg's"

Not trying to lose money on this pickup.

if so, that's where it gets predatory. you can easily argue that people that fat actually even need the space and the actual transportation itself more than the average person and therefore cannot be priced out.
Being 500 pounds is a conscious decision. You don't get that fat by accident. Gotta have some responsibility.

She can probably get paid from a lawsuit but she should know better. She is fat as shit but the car should be able to support her weight unless she has a bunch of other people with her.

I wonder what the defense will argue.
Personally I would go with if she can fit in the car, we plea guilty, if not we go free.

If she can't fit in the car, she ain't going far. Johnnie Cochran voice
