What are you playing? v.9 (Kefka Edition)

Is a bad launch a death sentence for a new IP?

Still playing GT7 and think I'm about done with my run. Finished up the World GT Series Championship.

It's wired that the next challenge from the Cafe is the Lightweight K-cup races with a 400pp cap. You get this point with progressively faster and more powerful cars, then they dump you into essentially a go cart race. I had to look up what cars would even qualify since I didn't have any in my collection. Found a car and tried to tune it up to the ceiling. Played around with ballast and power to get it below the line. Started the race and I'm climbing out of my screen from how slow the cars are going. Not sure how to beat these races. I feel like I'm on the throttle the entire race but the lead cars have such a lead I can't catch them. I just quit in disgust.

Think I'll come back to this challenge since there is a supped up Daihatsu I think I can detune, but not looking to drop a mil to buy a glorified go cart.

Thats the start of the post game update cafe menu's, i used this https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...o-7-tuning-garage.407093/page-2#post-13688742

Dark Souls Remastered

Done. Never thought I'd actually finish one of these games lol. Fantastic game. Not sure I have much of a desire to play the other ones anytime soon though. Kind of thought the DLC sucked.
Proud to hear it. Your DLC comment hurts my heart but to each his own. Abysswalk in peace, Artorias.

Does anyone know if there’s a way to make a “party” with someone that’s on a different platform in a cross platform game? I’ve been playing Quake 2 remastered on PS5 but wanted to play with my older brother who so far only has it for PC, playing via Steam.

Discord is out for Playstation I think. If you mean a chat party anyways.

Finished up Blasphemous, just the main story, would still have a decent amount to do to unlock everything. Clocked in a little over 20 hours.

Loved it though. It’s a fantastic Metroidvania. Not too big which makes a lot of them feel daunting. The art style was amazing, everything bathed in that gothic aesthetic with a healthy dose of gruesome imagery. The animation was interesting too on the sprites. I’m not sure if they were intentionally missing animation frames but it gave it an interesting quality.

The combat and movement were tight, really liked the executions. Enemy variety was nice and varied, same with the bosses. My personal favorites were going against other humanoids. Felt like that’s where the combat shined brightest.

Just an awesome little game from top to bottom.

Did Crisanta push your shit in for a bit? She was the best boss IMO. Perfect design. No bullshit. Just you and her doing the dance. Such an epic battle.

Not really, maybe a few tries. Those are typically the fights I do best with. The ones where shit is flying all over and it turns more into a bullet hell situation are what I hate the most.

I agree though, it was easily my favorite. Learning her movements, dodging, countering, looking for openings, everything had purpose.

Everspace 2

Only just tried it out for an couple hours. It's already WAY better than the original. They seemed to have improved on just about everything, and the scavenge/craft/fight/repeat loop, already has me hooked. Controls are a bit...unorthodox, but you get used to them. They're not bad, they're just a bit odd. Gonna have to give it a proper go sometime in the near future.

I will probably start The Order 1886 tomorrow. I got it for like $15 years ago and have never got around to it yet. I know it didnt review well but a thing mentioned a lot is it felt like a ripoff at $60 because of how short it is. With how cheap i got it that wont really be a factor.

The Order is fantastic and (still) looks better than most present-day games.

I played for about an hour and a half this morning and I am liking it. Cover based shooters arent nearly as common now, so that part feels fresh. The werewolf fight was kinda bad, but that was only a six or seven minute segment. The lore seems fantastic, and the different characters all seem interesting.

You're nit kidding about the visuals either. If this ran at 60fps I would have believed it was a native PS5 title.

The graphics in that game were always interesting to me. Everything in your immediate area looked incredible. Anything in the background was like blurred out or something like that. It was a strange thing to do but I understood what they were trying to accomplish.

I want to play Sekiro but I don't know how to level up or strengthen my hero. I just want more health.

I'm actually watching guides right now, then I'm going to play the game.

Good choice. One of my favorite games of all time. Prepare to die A LOT.

There’s no standard level up system like in other From games. You have to beat bosses to hit harder and mini bosses for more health.

Leveling up barely helps anyway. It's the ultimate "get gud" game.

I've never been good at parrying in games that have this feature. It seems like Sekiro relies on this and the window to parry an attack is a micro second.

I just wanted to play through the game to see what the story was about.

All my games seem like they're too hard or I'm just getting old. I'll be 41 soon.

Maybe I'll try Assassins Creed Odyssey.
