This is great. Ukraine was quickly becoming Israel 2.0. We already are saddled with an "ally" that takes hundreds of billions our money and gives us only enemies in the world. We didn't need another. Trump basically tells Zelensky, either make a deal or the US is out of this war. I simply wish that they said the exact same thing to Israel decades ago.

It's amazing seeing the "lefties" (in name only) cheer on only further slaughter over the notion that Ukraine would get everything they ever wanted. It's not only foolish, but has a massive cost of lives. They care more about beating their enemy in Russia than saving soldiers on both sides' lives and not bankrupting their own countries doing it. It's sad to see what people consider "left" this day.

Either way, America needs to get out of this war and worry about it's own problems. We are not responsible for the defense of a nation who we don't even have a military agreement with. We've sent more than enough aid. I don't want to see us in any other wars either, not in Myanmar, Yemen, Somali, Syria, etc. I don't care who started it, who is "right" in their cause, who we may have relations with, etc. We need to stop being the world's policemen.

If only there was a democrat in office doing this stuff so that the media and the "lefties" here would agree. But since it's Trump doing it I guess the reflexive anti-war "lefties" that come here choose to abandon all the principles they spent the last decade preaching about. The way I interpret what some supporters of Trump are saying is they don't care that Russia was the aggressor. They don't care that Ukraine would be hurt with Trump giving concessions to Putin. They look at it as Ukraine is screwed anyway so get it over with and stop sending money to them. I'm not saying I agree with that concept but that's how it comes across.

My thought is you can't treat "allies" like this and not expect blow back but history has shown that is kind of how America rolls towards its "allies". America didn't like Omar Torrijos in Panama so he was killed and the U.S. backed Noriega until he wasn't an "ally" any longer then the U.S. got rid of him too.
