Buffer zone means shit when it comes to missiles dingus.Yeah in a country bigger than Canada and US combined, the only target is Moscow, let me guess you bomb the Kremlin and Putin dies and we all join hands and sing. You actually believe that all their militiary hardware is just neatly stored altogether in one giant base in Moscow or multiple bases around the country?
The first target won't be Moscow, it'll be military storage, power/gas supplies, and supply routes which are most likely deep inside Russia, that's why they want that buffer zone.

Well imagine the screen extends all the way into space.
The area you have to defend is an entire country.
The missiles travel about 4 miles per second.
There's a thousand of them.
They all come at once.
Then they break up into 10's of thousands.
They still look about the size of a pixel.
The explosion from your missile is really fucking small.
That's why it's just a game. Reality is you just lose.
