It is highly illegal and unconstitutional for Trump to fire furloughed Federal employees during government shut downs (so long as their jobs/funding are statutorily mandated by Congressional laws that were passed).

This will be yet another action that, if taken, will be blocked by Federal judges and headed for the Supreme Court. So far SCOTUS is willing to give Trump fairly broad power, but they have stopped short of shredding the constitution. If they vote to allow Trump to permanently impound congressional funding (Washington v Trump current case, or this potential Federal employee firing case), then the US will be firmly in a constitutional crisis.

That might not work out how you think it will, because MAGA cult members are idiots. This will likely lead to Democrats sweeping Republicans in the midterm elections, because despite what your peabrain tells you, the fallout from getting rid of "Democrat" programs will be massively unpopular with the American people.

The administration was asked about the transfer, and they said that was a decision the prison admin made without any outside interference. That shit needs to be exposed.
