I don't think the movie is lower because that movie has no business being as good as it is. If anything going into that movie for the first time it over delivered.

Great performance, but there's something about the accent that doesn't sit quite right. People with accents as backwater as his always use a shitload of colloquialisms and contractions. His vocabulary is far too good for a low-IQ man from Assfuck Alabama.

IMO Leo in What's Eating Gilbert Grape is the GOAT performance for somebody playing a character with intellectual disability.

I dont know why people hate on this movie. Its a fun and well written/well acted film. Tom killed it. As did Gary Sinese and everyone else.
