Tom Aspinall is a certified badass, why is there a segment of UFC fans that loathe him?

If you were here during the peak Conor days then you know fans will suck off their boy and complain when everyone else has the audacity to not do the same.

Conor fans on this forum lowered my views of humanity so Jones fans doing these kinds of things is tame stuff and expected.

I don't hate Tom and I'm a fight fan first so of course I want to see this fight. I also understand why Jon prefers the Poatan fight, not everything is binary.
Jon is free to want the Stipe and Alex fights but he should have dropped the belt a long time ago if this was his desire.

He has become kind of annoying in the same way Reyes was after the Jon fight, but not quite as much. My biggest issue with Tom is that he still has some fat kid energy to him.

Nothing would make me like Tom more than him just moving on from the Jones fight and doing his thing. If he's asked about it just say I don't know what's happening with that but I'd like the fight. Something generic like that and move on.

Simple people want to keep things simple. This usually means trying to break all things down to 2 choices, often to extremes. And to be on one side "must mean" you sit in opposition to another. In order to like Jon, they must hate Tom. And that logic is evident in how many of them think the people behind Tom are only doing so to go after Jon. It's classic oversimplification and projection
Yes, and this is not only seen in MMA-discussions. People want the world to be black and white, not grey, you have to choose a team. Can't be nuanced or try to objective. Win arguments by any means, even if they don't make sense"If you like x, you are a y", etc.
