I mean I'm pretty sure Tom's BJJ isn't like Werdum/Mir level where no one wants to go there to lose. And we've only seen him stuff 2 takedowns in the UFC on a 10 day notice Spivac in the 1st round.

There are lots of unknowns with Tom. It's easy to declare he has a fully well rounded game, but right now it just looks like his striking is deadly. Cardio and wrestling are untested. I'm actually shocked Jones didn't feel like taking the fight.

But we don't know if he had huge leaps of improvements since 10 years ago. And the division is so shitty, he could wrestle Gane and force Almeida to stand and after that he has very little competition. He's definitely more well rounded than the rest of the current roster. We just don't know his skill level in other aspects.

Yeah, that's true. I think also Jones has some bad injuries that he really can't fight at his best any more. Some reason everyone at HW falls apart quick in mma. It's rare to have guys that can last forever there. We'll see where Aspinall goes, he only has 2 names to check off from the HW division.
