Sure, you want me to say if Aspinall was at 50% vision because of an eye poke, is it cowardly to quit? I’ll agree it’s not.

He’s still a coward though for plenty of other reasons, and the fact he lied and exaggerated ruins his character that makes people heavily doubt if the eye poke is even that bad.

He’s not blind, and he can see. His medical report shows this, from his own statements, unless he’s shifting the narrative that double vision when he tries to force his eye to look at things on the border is blindness.

He might have lazy eye, and that’s a maybe as the CT and MIR show he’s fine.

And now he’s running this narrative that he might need surgery, sure it’s possible but highly unlikely. He’s exaggerating everything.

Logical is very relative concept here. Cuz Tom is probably first ever recorded human in history which became blind / partially blind and most about what he cares is haters and their comments. He did not even bother to answer for fight offer or anything, but he is reading comments on internet. He did not even medically cleared his injury, its just bunch of bullshitery. Its like when u come to C-D tier doctor tell him how extremely ur back hurts and he instead of sending u to magnetic resonance(cuz its expensive) type down bunch of bullshit and give u sick note related to this...

Where did he say he was "blind", I must've missed it.

The closest I saw was his dad saying he can't see out of the right eye and that it's completely grey.

What people are also forgetting is the risk and context. Jiri, and everyone else saying Tom should've continued, haven't been in a situation where they were fouled while defending a title.

For example in poker, I can bet $20, even $100 on a risk that my flush doesn't get beat by a possible fullhouse. But it would be dumb of me to call someone a pussy for not doing the same on a $10k bet. And that just means the stakes also weigh in on the outcomes - it's easy to take an unnecessary risk when you have little to lose.

Even if you felt it justified for him to stop the fight due to disadvantage him continuing tselling of the injury on for this long is a joke. By now if he had a serious injury a Dr. would have given him a timeline to train and fight again. He has milked the situation so now it’s when he feels good and ready and not when a Dr. does. Strip him in the meantime

If there’s a liability form, being poked in the eye is definitely part of it. Can’t exactly sue the UFC or the opponent for being poked in the eye.
