because he said he was blind in the OTHER eye, after he watched the replay.Tom's whole reaction to eye-gate is lame. That being said, he's not a fraction as lame as the people watching, in close-up slow-motion, Tom get a finger gouged into his eye(s), to the knuckle, and then pretending like he pussed out and should have kept fighting/is faking it.
imagine being a grown ass man, and legitimately getting your feelings hurt over retarded comments made by "low life fucking losers" on a dead message board
the dumbest shit i have ever heard, especially coming from a HW champion of the world
he's hurt because their is truth to it. otherwise he wouldn't care.
sorry bro, "dying"Listen buddy, I'm a fan of Aspinall but do agree he needs to pull his damn antenna in and focus on the shit that matters.
But this forum is NOT dead, dammit. You take that part back!

He was fin to have the fight stopped because of the knuckle-deep gouge, or the finger scraping across his retina. His call, his choice. Regarding the alleged sustained damage: Either he's lying, or equally believably, the eye that got a finger scraped across it . . . . bear with me here . . . .got injured.because he said he was blind in the OTHER eye, after he watched the replay.
Optics ( . . . .-_- . . . . ) not good, for sure. I'm honestly not going to worry about it much and just hope he gets back in there quickly/has a speedy recovery from whatever.I support Tom but he ain't doing himself any favors. It's getting old really fast. I cant see (pun intended) why this puts his training to a halt entirely seems like a stretch surely he can still grapple and stay in shape for the rematch. My god I hate to say it but Jon may have a point he has just given up completely in regards to training. One thing goes wrong and the guy is done it seems.

we know the threats dont we? the UFC is dying thread the threads on how things used to be more exciting when i was younger thread the threads about the poor matchmaking by the Power Slap Pimp Dana.
Tom Aspinall who is majorly suffering from his eyes is effectively slowly going blind by the hands (literally) of Cyril Gane who couldn't keep his hands to himself. Aspinall is an exciting fighter and one of the top UFC contenders we want to see fight for he is in his prime, a relative question mark in some senses and potential to be one of UFCs bigger HW superstars.
but his father has also attested to the fact that his eyes simply wont heal and until they dont we are unlikely to see Tom come back into the octagon, let alone back against the ocular assassin.
but we dont need him to come back against the French Fork we need him to come back period.
this week its come out to be that Tom Aspinall is suffering majorly under the hands of online bullying and he went as far to throw sherdog under the bus in the process.
in short:
online bullying > massive stress > cortisol spikes >
increased eye pressure (worsens glaucoma or healing abrasions)
dry eyes & blurred vision (stress reduces blink rate/tear production)
tension headaches & eye strain that feel like vision loss
inflamed blood vessels in the eye (slows recovery from pokes/trauma)
worse sleep → even poorer healing and light sensitivity
so the bullying doesn’t literally poke the eye again, but the stress it causes can absolutely make an existing ocular injury heal slower and feel way worse.
thereby yes yes the matchmaking is shit but it'll only worsen if we collectively strain one of the prize fighters of the organisation.

you cannot see the ocular injury above but you can see the suffering in his eyes. pls have empathy.![]()

Tom already said “No more Mr. nice Guy” so he will naturally kill any remaining fan base by hating everyone on his return
@mkess101 is one for sure or at least he is on The Aspinall's payroll.
