I've seen Jon persevere through many tough situations, from Vitor having his arm completely locked up and popping his elbow, to Gustafson having him battered and nearly beat, to breaking his toe in half against Sonnen, to dropping the first 2 rounds to Reyes... and he never once looked for a way out or folded, he managed to tough it out and turn it around every single time.

I've seen Tom face adversity just once, and he immediately took the first chance he could to bitch out.

This dropped his stock worse than any knockout or decision loss would have imo.

That's a lie. He said that Aspinall could continue if Aspinall could see well enough, which is a far, far different thing. He didn't have anything like the time or equipment necessary to pronounce that the eyes were fine.

and just because the other one looks worse, doesnt mean the other one couldnt have caused more harm. couldve scratched his cornea or some shit. i also noticed his eye was leaking clearly which happens when eyes get injured. i seen a friend pop open a big corona bottle and the cap shot him in the eye. fluid was leaking, draining out of his eye it was crazy.

Literally the fight stats show this was a very close fight (and Aspinall landed the heavier shots), but yet these Jones nuthuggers want you to believe that this was a totally one-sided fight and Aspinall wanted a way out.

I'm surprised but not surprised at this reaction online. There isn't a reasonable case for Tom "wanting out" from damage- watch the fight, count the strikes look at the stats, it's plain as day it was even, and Gane was not yet tested on the ground yet, which could well have changed the complexion of the fight when it happened.

I don't blame Tom for not fighting if he was blinded. GSP fought blind for a few rounds to win against Shields after vicious eyepoking, but was unable to dominate like he usually did; it was totally performance altering, and that was probably what Tom was worried about.

One more thing- FUCK the eyepokers, fuck all of them. Rampage said he has never been poked in 20 years of training, and that eyepokers usually do it intentionally. I'm surprised there isn't more anger at Pokeyman Gane. Fuck him.

There's no test a doctor can do with a little flashlight and 3 minutes to know if an eye is "fine" or how much vision is impaired. They can see if there's obvious damage, but there a plenty of times where they don't see any noticeable damage and it turns out afterwards there was damage that would affect vision.
