Rate the "big fight feel" for Khamzat vs DDP. Biggest fight since __________________

Khamzat is the biggest star in the UFC currently. Dude has 10 million followers and works social media like no other fighter imagine if he captures the belt. He will shout up even further.

His fights used to beat Adesanya´s social media interests and would out spike him when Adesanya was still the champ and khamzat as contender
For me, “big fight energy” and overall gravity of a fight is completely unrelated to a fighter’s social media followers. Could not give less of a shit how many followers a fighter has on Instagram.

7 because of how predictable the outcome is.

Which is why, by the way, DC vs Jones felt like a bigger fight to me than Khabib vs Conor.

Jones vs DC 10
Khabib vs Conor 10
Brock vs Cain 9.5
Machida vs Shogun 9.5
Alex vs Adesanya 9.5

Khamzat vs DDP 9 (slightly higher than vs Usman and Whittaker)

I have hard time getting hyped for this fight. It’s maybe because of what the end result of this fight is going to offer us or better not offer.

I like Dricus but If Dricus remains champ, who is he going to fight next and is it going to interesting at all? He has fought all the names already. Imavov/ Borralho winner? I don’t see myself really hyped for any of these, even less for one of them being a champ.

If ratlip wins, then the only interesting fights will be against a non title fight deserving opponents like Costa, Dolidze and Fluffy, and otherwise we will have a really unreliable and inactive champion.
RDR is a dark horse at MW, very likeable, funny style but his weakness would also be exposed by fighters who are ranked lower than him.

MW is strange at the moment. They should totally forget about rankings and make style vs style fights there. Anyone at the top 15 can beat top 5 guys on a good day.

Yeah, Khamzat had the quickest turnaround in UFC history in 2021. He was marking fools at WW and MW both. I agree this is probably the biggest fight that could be put together now. I don’t know who to pick, I could really see Khamzat just bulldozing him, or Dricus taking the fight deep and exploiting the striking holes we’ve seen in Khamzat.
I think I’m gonna pick Khamzat but not confident in it.

This is why it's such a great fight, if someone tells you they know the result they're talking shit, nothing is certain in this one.

It's a big one but not sure if it's bigger than these recent fights.

DDP vs Adesanya
Adesanya vs Pereira 1
Pereira vs Jiri 1
Volk vs Islam 1
Jones vs Gane (when Gane still had hype)
Ngannou vs Gane

On a scale of 1-10 how do you rank the big fight feel for Khamzat vs DDP?

When is the last time the UFC put on a fight that you felt was at this level of big fight feel?

For me its a 10 and I went back looking at every PPV main event back to the covid era and nothing was topping this for me. What do you guys say?
In total id give it a very solid 7.

The actual matchup is a 10, can't remember a fight for the past years when the stylistic matcup was so intriguing. Very rare. Immovable object etc etc etc.

But in terms of feeling big and meaningful id give it a 6. There's no bad blood, no real rivalry, just a title on the line. Totally average.

It's the 3rd best of the year of the other potential big fights in 2025 (Jones/Aspinall, Topuria/Islam), I just have a feeling Khamzat blows DDP out of the water and makes it look easy. I've doubted DDP since Whittaker besides Strickland. I'm going to go with 7.5, which is still the most hyped I've been all year.

8. Very intriguing fight.

Won't surprise me if Khamzat blows him out in 1 round. Won't surprise me if DDP drags him into deep waters and wins late or on points.

Agree on every point! Except I've backed DDP in other fights to this point. This is the first time I really think he has a bad match up in front of him.

Post your slip
I think its the most likely outcome but not one I'm sold on. I was just answering for him. If there is a foregone conclusion someone would reach that would be it. Also gambling is for fucking dorks lmao
