Rate the "big fight feel" for Khamzat vs DDP. Biggest fight since __________________

post covid Khamzat is like post prison Tyson, he has his moments, but it's not the same anymore.

Conor vs Khabib was a 10.
DC vs Jones was a 9.

This is a 7 at best. Interesting match up but it doesn’t have the feel of a huge fight where things are personal and there is a grudge to really make things heated and more important than just a title fight.
Personal and grudge and beef?? All that shit is gay AF. 99.99% of it is fake to sucker the marks.

I think its the most likely outcome but not one I'm sold on. I was just answering for him. If there is a foregone conclusion someone would reach that would be it. Also gambling is for fucking dorks lmao
Well saying this fight has a predictable outcome seems silly to me, and based on your follow up explanation, it doesn’t appear to be too predictable?

A lot is fake but Khabib / Conor nor DC / Jones appeared fake and it made their fights seem much more important and intriguing compared to DDP vs Khamzat imo.

It's the 3rd best of the year of the other potential big fights in 2025 (Jones/Aspinall, Topuria/Islam), I just have a feeling Khamzat blows DDP out of the water and makes it look easy. I've doubted DDP since Whittaker besides Strickland. I'm going to go with 7.5, which is still the most hyped I've been all year.
Hard to tell what happens with DDP once Khamzat get him down, going to check some older fights, any suggestion where we could better see DDP bottom defensive game.. He is stocky, very strong, so probably harder to finish. Burns is somewhat similar. But DDP was not tested much in the UFC vs MMA wrestlers.

It’s an 8 because Khamzat had a couple of underwhelming performances, also DDP is a great champ, but people don’t see him as an unbeatable elite champ, despite the fact he has put up amazing results.

War DDP.

Idk its like saying Conor/Khabib had a predictable outcome. Sometimes grappler vs striker is very simple. And me explaining what the answer would be doesn't mean I agree with it. Sorry you can't follow

round 1 vs Brunson probably the best you can hope to get an idea for his defensive/bottom grappling he's fought almost exclusively strikers

A couple?

Arguably had one underwhelming performance (Usman), but even there, round 1 was full of excitement.

Yes, very telling, if Khamzat gets hold of DDP's neck, could be over quickly. But anyhow, DDP is going down for sure.

It all comes down to how DDP is going to defend, especially his neck - he was exposing himself too much to try to get back up. Would be better to try to stay as safe as possible at bottom early on - But that fight was a bit ago, probably he improved...

Alex vs Izzy 1, but I'm getting Robbie vs Rory 1 vibes. Both fights ending in the 5th round ironically.

7-10
fights like dc vs jones
and jds vs cain where bigger for me

There are multiple types of ways this fight can go based on their fighting styles and skill sets. This is not purely striker versus grappler, that would be Chimaev versus Adesanya, whereas DDP possesses a versatile skillset. To me, predictable means cut and dry, as in you would be surprised if another outcome happens.

Thanks man, that means a lot. Whether in the Heavies or WR no one agrees with anyone 100% of the time, but that’s never bothered me. Hopefully people know me well enough to know I’ll always do my best to be fair whether a poster believes Fedor is the GOAT or not. :)
Thanks again for the kind words!
Fedor IS the GOAT, though, let's be real

DDP's grappling sucks

I wouldn't say this is a big fight from a promotional standpoint. Maybe a 6/10. Neither guy is the biggest draw.

But from an interest level standpoint, I'd give it a 9/10 at least.

One sided a bit but I was pretty pumped for olivera vs Ilia, so not that long ago in my view. 8 out of 10 I would say or maybe 7, which is a good score. Of course there are much bigger fights but this figut has the feel of two really strong fighters, unclear who will win devastating finishers etc

This one.
lol at waiting for the fight to end to reply. Cmon comrade, even you didn’t have KC winning a decision. Like the majority of us you thought he’d end it early if the wrestling came that easy.
