You're probably right.
We've been through this before with the negotiations forr Jon vs Ngannou - and we know UFC were happy to have Jon sit on the bench while negotiating, and let Ngannou leave the UFC, rather than bend to fighter demands.
Jon and his managers also know this so I'm not sure they are serious about wanting 30 mil.
But yeah - they could figure they can afford to wait and pray - or retire if the UFC doesn't budge.
Sticking point might be Jones looking for more of guaranteed bottom and for go PPV points, as I don't think he believes Tom sells.
I believe it will happen and I wll believe it will be this July as jones alluded to before. We may all have our opinions on Jones, but we all know the UFC and Dana don't like working with Jones because he makes things hard for them like Georges did. Jones is going to push and push for more money each time he fights at HW. He knows his road is at it's end and he wants to be set for life. He plays tuf o war with the UFC and dicking fans around with this "Will he/ Wont he" shit leans into it.If it does happen it won't be until november
He hasn't proven anything at heavyweight. He has nothing left to prove.
Not according to all the whining he and Dana are doing about people pointing out he's a ducking cheater. He's immune to social pressure.
The ability to price himself out of fights he’s terrified of has always been one of Jones’ greatest strengths.
Jones was too scared of losing his 0 to 1D Ngannou. It showed by pricing himself out
he finally came to HW when Ngannou left thinking there was no HW left just to be faced with an even riskier opponent in well rounded Tom. Now he's pricing himself out even more. Unfortunately for him Tom has fought and defended against more legit opponents than Jon
What you said isn't saying no to what he said, it actually kinda proves his point, which I think was ultimately agreeing with your original point so..I think we're all agreedActually no, he fought Gane & Stipe for his contracted amount + PPV points.
If you're referring to Ngannou that's another subject entirely.
