I just don’t like how Ariel gave Paddy support with his podcast before he was big, and now that Paddy is a somebody, he treats Ariel like shit. To make Ariel pay for an interview when Paddy should be thanking him for his past support. I think Paddy is a good guy that has let his manager and Dana influence him.

Yea Ben is one of the better mma writers, good on camera and has the looks as well. He could have been a big mma media personality.

For whatever reason he never capitalized on that and moved to a media hub like NY. If he would have pushed hard in that direction he would have had his own show. Raking in cash like Helwani or Luke. Instead he moved to middle of nowhere and signed up to subscription only publication that kinda tanked his career.

I like good sports reporting especially of the written variety. It’s fashionable to bash reporters and journalists these days. Excessively to where decent journalism gets unfairly lumped in with fluff.

Goofs like DW and Paddy lie to suit their narcissistic narrative. Journalism shows no fear or favor. Kudos to Helwani for clapping back and exposing their blatant lies.

There is good reporting out there. Sherdog has some excellent writers. I also enjoy the Shillan & Duffy previews and post-fight wrap ups. They are informative and entertaining without being histrionic.
 
paddy being interviewed the "boss" and he attacks one of the boss' most hated journalists.

I wonder how long paddy will be like that once he gets WTFPWNED (hopefully this weekend) and gets a taste or reality. that 12k/12k he he got isnt going to cut it forever to be a full time fighter if the extra stuff fades

Or rather, he was a good guy, but was willing to sell out his morals and character along with Dana and Manager's influence.

He gets no pass. I work in a different part of entertainment and some people just become assholes when their goal is to maximize fame. I've experienced it first hand with entertainers who I knew who became totally different people once the slightest bit of notoriety came their way.
