Perreira vs Cyril Gane - who has the advantage?

Gane got outstruck by volkov thier second fight, his only chance is double eye poke nc. While his and jones fans claim victory.

Actually i guess if potan is too passive gane can wall and stall a round or 2 he can win an ank type fight.

Idk, Alex is a big name. High chance Gane gets all starstruck and shits the bed again.

He'll have dat "sacrebleu" look:

Gane has the advantage, he is agile and big and strong.

This match up is interesting to me and could happen this year. I don't know who to bet on. What the match would look like...

Who should be more afraid of the other one?
Gane is never fighting again in the UFC, and it’s for sure not going to be another TS. lol. Do people really think Gane is somehow next in line? If anything—and I think he’s done—it would be Volkov because he won the last fight, but Wrinkle Head got the nod, even with the multiple fouls, like always.

Actually props to Volkov, I had forgotten how good he looked that fight and is actually on a roll. The dude has 7 wins in a row in reality with his last real loss was Tom.

To your points.

Dominated? A fight that was clearly 2 rounds a piece and the deciding round 3 was extremely close, you have a very funny definition of domination. That was as competitive and close as it gets lol. And Ankalaeve is an elite LHW.

And you really can't hold the Israel KO loss against him. At MW he was compromised with the weight cut, since moving up to LHW Alex's chin is rock solid. And e just made a defensive mistake, it can happen to anyone. He's been in there with some power punchers at LHW like Jiri, Rountree and had no issues.

Jan was a champion level fighter, noting wrong with going to a split decision against him. We saw Gane fight Volkov to a split in a fight many felt he lost, and Volkov is not an elite HW.

There really isn't much to be confident in here one way or the other. I think Gane has some advantages, but not the points you mentioned.

Stop with that "compromised with the weight cut" argument. Alex was a career MW and Izzy stunned him several times during their fights (in their 2nd kickboxing bout and in their first MMA fight).

alex via Disqualification win after eleventeen eye pokes nut shots and back of the head shots

... or a no contest if the ref is asleep

Alex carrying 230-240 doesn't look good vs. Gane. He's already arguably slower than Gane at 205. His stalking, plodding style with all that added weight vs. Gane dancing around on the outside, I don't see Alex having much success there. But obviously he can also end it with one shot.

Hence, he was compromised by the weight cut lol, as those fights took place at MW. And he was not a career MW, he spent his time kickboxing between MW and LHW, he was a MW when he was younger in his 20s. In the UFC he has 5 MW bouts and 7 LHW, so he's a fighter than goes between both. In his UFC career the cut was getting too much.

It would come down to who has the most effective leg kicks. Would be a fun fight, but I give the slight edge to Gane, due to the size advantage.

50/50. But with a first round “accidental” eye poke, Gane’s chances increase to 80/20.

This is what the UFC should book for vacant HW title fight. It's a good 50/50 fight. Whoever brings the other into their game. Pereira will look much faster than Gane's opponents.
