I love Jacare but I don't think he'd do that well. His BJJ was elite but I'd argue it didn't translate perfectly to his MMA game. Prime Maia vs Khamzat would be something special to watch IF they grappled. Problem is that fight would have just been Khamzat kickboxing him up on the feet however.
