I don't get this weird obsession that some BJJ guy is the answer. When have these Dagi/Chechen elite guys ever looked remotely vulnerable to BJJ? I'd actually back Chimaev to tap RDR out, not the other way around. They seem to immune to submissions on the ground.

Khamzat was subbed by Roman dolidze about a year ago in training, the only time he faced an elite grappler he was afraid to go to the ground , he has better wrestling than khabib but his ground game is not even close just pure power in his squeeze

I didn't drink the Kool aid, I just couldn't conceive of someone not training takedown defense before fighting Khamzat.

I don't think i've seen grown men with perfect natural hair line without the styles, comb and cream masking their flaws lined up together.

It's gotta be the mountain lifestyle and lack of imported junk for sure.

RV has never been knocked out and Khamzat is not going to swim with a shark.

The truth is, BJJ champs can make money other ways so they have no reason to fight in the UFC and get head trauma for peanuts. They don't go to MMA much anymore.

Absolutely guys like Jacare would be difficult matchups for Khamzat. Khamzat stayed away from the ground like the plague against Burns.

Just like Alex did for a long time- Khamzat benefits from no really great grapplers in his division.

Even those guys in their primes wouldn't beat him. His grappling is very solid and better than theirs overall...minus subs from his back. Easy takedowns. Easy control. Jacare at least had some power though so theres a chance on the feet after a scramble.

Off his back RV would have nothing for Khamzat. Rodolfo was really only a top player in the bjj world, so it's unfortunate that his takedowns aren't very good in mma (people would pull guard on him in bjj).

At middleweight, Maia only beat Sonnen. All of the other wrestlers at 185 had his number. He's not getting Khamzat.

He did fair better against wrestlers at welterweight though.

Yeah Jacare could have KOd him I think, a bit sloppy as a striker but he did have power. He did get outgrappled by Whittaker though so I'm fairly sure Khamzat would have the advantage there.
